Soviet Air Power Tactics

Air Power Tactics
2CP- Airdrop Supplies, kind of like the old airdrop from CoH1. You will get less fuel and munitions from the other drops but you will a balance of both fuel and munitions.
3CP- Paratroop Infantry- 6 man squad paradropped into battle, tons of versatility. Can be upgraded with PPsh's, DP-28's, and for Anti-tank PTRS rifles. RGD-33 grenades for clearing out infantry and RPG-43 for anti-tank.
4CP- Recon Flight- Same as other Soviet commanders
?CP- IL-2 Sturmovik Attacks- Same ability, couldn't remember how many CP it was.
12CP- IL-2 Precision Bomb Strike- Same ability.
This would be a good commander to introduce, not many emphasize on air attack abilities and it would change up the usual shock/guard commanders.

I can see it being rather weak (depending on the specifics of "airdrop supplies"), but it seems like a fun commander.Maybe make it like CoH1, make it so the crates come with a M-42 AT-gun or PTRS.

Late game makes you need call in tanks. Otherwise, i would love Soviet paratroopers.

All of them without B-4, T34/85, IS-2 or ISU are the proof of it, some are playable, some are useless.
This one would be the gimmicky one that can be used for fun, but not competitively.

The Soviets had paratroopers? I never heard of that.
Here they are, with their pilot helmets lol.

my understanding is that they also did a shit job of supporting them, particularly in Finland, and many of them were effectively abandoned after being dropped. That was one of the smaller drops they did, the biggest drop they did was in the offensive to retake Kiev. They were the spearhead and were well equipped but took forever for them to be reached by the Soviet Army.

Would be cool, but i don't think this would be a viable commander, even in team games. It would cost a lot of muni and without something like Close Air Support's conversion ability, it would be difficultKind of the point of the air drop supplies, trade manpower for resources.

But i think they would overlap with guards abit too much.
Gaurds suck right now, so perhaps we should make gaurds worthwile first.

I don't think the proposed commander would be that good though, since every single ability can be nullified by AA presence (and theres no shortage of that on the factions it faces, especially OKW).

Cool! Thanks man.

Could have the airdrop supply only munitions for a manpower -> munitions trade similar to close air support's fuel -> munitions conversion ability.Sounds pretty good, Soviet could use an ability like this.

thank you remembered my topic.
http://www.coh2.org/topic/12492/the-doctrine-of-the-red-army-paratroops.
but I think that 3 CP it's late.
The Soviets does have a good non doctrine infantry

No doctrine without late game call-ins will work for soviets.

Can still work without late game call-ins if doctrine will have some sort of Rocket Strafe, like USA airborn.
