I think it needs a mobility buff. The ISU is good no matter where it is on the map, because it excels at AI and AT, but the JT can only be used effectively against tanks and thus has to be able to relocate a little easier.

edit: BTW, there should have been three answers (same goes for ISU poll): still OP, balanced, now UP. People who think it is OP / UP will choose the same answer.

The nerf was necessary. Although I also think it needs a price reduction or a severe reduction of the chance of getting stunned.

Anyway, if we see a less ISU meta, i expect to even see less this unit which is good.

Absolutely.

I generally don't like those ultraexpensive überunits.
I'd rather have units that are indeed pricy and perform very well, but not like "cheatmode"-well.

Crew stun needs to go, apart from that its fine. Its gonna be a niche unit from here on now, but on open maps it has its place for containing the ISU (never saw that one coming) or pushing back the wall of Jacksons (tm).

In my opinion the Jagdtiger is now a much more balanced unit in terms of game-play mechanics. No more parking behind houses and blasting tanks through a whole city block. However, it is now over-priced for what it does.

In my opinion it should lose the crew-shock and get a slight cost reduction (-10 or so fuel, or making the engine upgrade standard instead of a munitions upgrade) to bring it more in line with the cost/performance of the elephant.

I think the Jagdtiger is fine now, I don't necessarily think it needs a price reduction. On open maps it'll perform fine and on more urban maps it won't but I think that's the way this unit should operate.

As for USF having problems with dealing it, USF has problems dealing with any late game armor soo i think this speaks more to a problem with USF than it does with the Jagdtiger

Is it balanced? No. Why? Because there's still no unit the allies have that can challenge it.

And the OKW's repair speed is so fast that it can be repaired from 5% to 100% in no-time which makes it incredibly hard to fend off. So if you don't kill it, it will be back on the field faster than you can repair your own vehicles.

I never thought it was OP to begin with. Should deffinatley be fine now.

The real question is will we see this unit a few months from now once people adjust to the changes?

The only reason it is common is b/c people are scared of ISUs, or because they wanted to shoot through stuff on specific maps, other than that there are much better options. If the new ISU is managable i doubt the unit will be used very often at all.

JT has been nerfed too hard now, compared to ISU anyway. ISU hasn't particularly 'lost' anything, it only has to switch ammo so it will always be able to wreck something. JT lost arguably its best feature now and is basically a glorified Elefant and went from being usable on all maps to now only on a few open maps. I think a more fair nerf would've simply been to reduce damage and/or penetration (1/4 - 3/4 ?) if a shot went through a shotblocker.

Also 90 munitions for 1 shot is ridiculous, 3-4 shots for 50-60 munitions is much more fair.

At this point I'd rather have a Jagdpanther than a Jagdtiger (or Elefant).

the thing is still a beast. it has great synergy amazingly well with either OKW or Wehr. The fact that you can have the JT and KT at the same time is amazing. Unless the JT is your only tank on the field, you are going to have a good time

You seem to only see things from a 4v4-allied-perspective. You will never get a JT and KT out in a 1v1.

not sure how it is like in 1v1, but Jagdtiger is probably one of the most OP units in 3v3 and 4v4

Well, you know... now it requires some decent micro to fully use it power... Not something OKW players are use to in those days :foreveralone:

Even though I don't play those big games, I believe you are right, as most of these maps are too small for such a number of players. But in 1v1 with its extremely limited mobility, I guess ISU got a lot more viable against OKW now, as you can try to avoid the JT and just wipe his infantry where the JT is not present. If OKW goes for a JT, there won't be much other armour around, maybe a Luchs or a Puma, but they can be handled even with HE shells and your other units.

It is good change for team games, now players will have to think about the map and location before getting a Jagdtiger. Before it was about getting a supported Jagdtiger ASPA regardless of the map. One now has to think a bit more about the location.

Can't really comment on 1v1 only dabble in 1v1, but I suspect the Jagdtiger is not all that common and the change would make much less desirable.
