You do realize that the M15 Halftrack with Vet 1 instakills any plane on the map. Right?

I mean instakill. I mean it doesn't miss, ever.

How does something as completely ridiculous as this manage to slip through?

The answer to this question is quite obvious.

given how much the thing costs, i'm fine with the damage. the response time does seem way to low. iirc you have 2 seconds at the edge of the map and it increases as you get further away from the edge. doesn't seem to increase very fast though.

its perfectly dodgeable if you keep the tanks moving when the plane lines up to fire.

Given how Rocket Strafe is basically the same thing with extra splash damage, this thread seems awfully biased.

I'm surprised no one mentioned that the stuka doctrine is overall better than the p47 one, costs less, is much more reliable AND ALSO TARGETS SUPPORT WEAPONS when there are no vehicles.

Also the axis apologists are gardening ridiculous man, the Su-85 was almost destroyed in a single pass with no chance of evading, an exclusively anti tank strafe like the p47 can't even come close to do that when you consider just reversing is enough to avoid it completely.

Uh, it's really not less expensive at all, it's very fuel heavy if you use conversion. (assuming you're using Close Air Support doctrine.)

The SU-85 would have been flanked by a goddamn tiger to begin with, not to mention that the thing made zero attempts to try and escape after the flares were cast, sticking close to the rear of the IS-2 up until it was hit by the JU-87.

It was bad play on the Allied player's part and the Stuka is just as easily avoided as a P47 Mustang Rocket Launch. If you use it and catch your opponent off guard, it'll work with deadly efficiency. Besides that the P47's can outright kill tanks on single passes. This Stuka left the tanks hit with enough HP to be hit by tigers, panthers, and ATG's at least two or more times before death.

lol. reversing out of p47 doesnt guarantee the rockets will miss. they can still hit, sometimes they miss sometimes they dont. i think you can also reverse out of this strafe as well, in the video it looks like you just kinda stood still and took it.

also the p47 also has almost/very little delay in coming into the map (like most strafes).

and as others have mentioned, if youre having trouble with enemy air support, build the flak ht, AA ht, Quad ht, or the 222/ostwind depending whatever faction you are.

Thats completely incorrect

All air abilities have an area of effect

Recon will show a visible green circle

Attack runs will show a Red cirle

If tanks are out of red cirle. Even if the p47 spots them. it WONT fire.

Edit: there is also a way to trick the plane. If u see the direction the plane is attacking from. u can face ur tank twards the p47. revers while blitzing. then sharply turn. More rockets will miss. This only works if one p47 has been shot down. If the planes attack from both sides. then ur out of luck.

Lol,

Yeah let's just completely disregard the fact that it doesn't only hit vehicles, easily avoided? Did you even see how the sherman was strafed? No smoke or anything, just the plane coming from outside the map at incredible speed, no visual feedback from the shells exploding just the sherman being shredded, the P47 can't even achieve that sort of damage even when standing still given how only a single rocked will hit at a time.

To be honest, I'm tired of being "nice" about stuff. When you try to be nice people either shit all over you, try to troll you, or say your "delusional" and brush it off. Reality is that being a dick is the only way to get a point across.

Wrong this ability is just slightly weaker then the thunderbolt because it has less splash but for all purposes it functions the same. if the ju is op then so is the thunderbolt.

Have you considered that the camera simply didn't pan over where the flares were? Or the fact that the Sherman was within the same barrage area that assisted in killing the SU-85 and that the Stuka came around on one of it's 3x passes that allowed for the flares to no longer be on screen?

I kinda agree with this.
Back to the point, just like infantry, do not bunch up your tanks (although the strafe area is a bit large). I think smoke screen can block the vision of the aircraft (not 100% on this). This ability is intended to deny a large area to enemy tanks, and it's expensive. Besides, the other player literally drove his Sherman inside the strafe zone. Let's face it, only one of them had 2 tigers, one PAK and and army of vetted LMG grens. Even without that they had a great chance of winning the game. The other enemy player also flanked you with his panther, so I think even without that, they had a good chance of finishing the battle in their favor.

then how come it still randomly attacks even when you drive to the other side of the map?
