How is USF supposed to deal with new Kubel?
I'm not against suppression weapons being effective... I think the MG42 is perfectly balanced for what it is... a highly immobile defensive area denial tool.
The MG42 can be flanked since its cone is static until it gets up and redeploys.
The problem with the Kubel is that it can rotate on a dime to stop flank attempts, which in my experience completely shuts down USF early game. Its armor was buffed a couple patches ago, but now its got armor, speed, mobility AND suppression.
So how is USF supposed to combat a well-micro'd Kubel with only rifles and RE (lol) ?

Always move one rifle in front to scout so the others can use smoke, like in the real life.
Work for me.

Due to real life obligations, I've had limited time to test out the new patch, but during a couple of the games I managed to get in, the new kubel almost insta-pinned my rifles.

On Topic: Kübel did not get any armor buff if i recall that correctly it got a health buff recently .
And I agree - The new Kübel is very strong . however not op . flanks wont manage to destroy it but usually will be able to force it back or get rapaired.
Now that Sturms deal so much less damage you will not suffer that much manpower bleed actually . And as said above, the Kübel does in fact not scale all that well , but in the hands of a good player it will be very hard to deal with and usually will not die , most likely not even into the midgame

I'm not understanding why the M2 is in "Shit Tier"?

I would actually say that the mgs in game cannot be so easily classified. In terms of actual suppressing fire in a support role, the MG42, MG34, and M2 are definetly the best weapons in class. Many Axis players look at the maxim as an amazing mg, but it is quite terrible at the job of being an MG. It is only able to suppress one squad, albeit efficiently. The only reason the Maxim seems so good is because it has the capability to drop units, and when spammed, is quite a powerful unit. The MG42 is not a maxim, do not use it as one. The large set up time and cone of fire show that it is a defensive weapon, and is meant to be used to support a defensive position, not be one. Comparing the MG42 to the maxim is like comparing the OKW flacktrack to the US one, they both are powerful in different ways, and they both have different roles, even if they are both "flack halftracks."
In terms of US vs kubel, I have found assault engies useful on some maps in a flanking manner, otherwise cover and stalling for an m20 seems to be the best bet.

MG42 and MG34s are the king of the battelfield at vet 2 and will remain useful the entire duration of the game.
50 cal is good but the 4 man squad really really sets it back immsensly despite what people say here

Having your units spread out means you don't get your whole force suppressed. Although don't take my word for it, I haven't played in a while so I'm going by streams.

I think splitting your forces early (Especially as the USF) is a good idea against a Kubelwagen. You don't really need 2 rifles together early game, as they beat any tier 0 unit 1v1.

this means USF players would have to stop blobing rifleman, and we know that isnt going to happen.
