I am not very good at CoH2 so why do get automatched against players like Siberian?

Because Siberian is also not very good at CoH2.

Jokes aside, it's a combination of a relatively low playerbase and an increasingly broadening matchmaking algorithmic the longer you search. (I hope that sentence made sense.)

a)Haven't played 10 games yet with your faction of choice in 1v1

b)Play as axis

There is a greater chance for equal opponent if you play allies as axis are overpopulated and you have wider poll of possible players to match up with.

Maybe it's 'cause the Axis players aren't a bunch of forum crybabies, and they keep their cool and fight the uphill battle, unlike some of their "allied" counterparts.

I was playing as USA. I didn't have to wait long to get matched. I have played as USA many times

Like Katitof said, if it was one of your first 10 games as USA, then you will be match vs. anyone in order to determine your rank.

Whenever I get people like that I make a point of doing strange strats I've never done before that don't seem to logically work and hope for the best.

Sib was probably looking for a game for 10 minutes, not finding one because everybody plays axis.
