Report the time between your war spoils!

*Note please do not comment on the War Spoils system, as this thread is meant merely to post data.*

As a way to engage the War Spoils feature, which seems to be based entirely on time played in multiplayer, is to state the time spent per match up until a war spoils crate is awarded. We will then get an idea of just how many people get war spoils in X amount of time.

Procedure is simple:
-have a notepad or paper with a pen
-after every match yu win or lose, note down the time, rounding by the minute
-add up the time up until a war spoils is rewarded for the combined estimated time,
-then restart the process until another crate is given.

I will go first to demonstrate the format:

SIX GAMES: 21m, 22m, 27m, 24m, 58m, 18m for a total of 170m or 2.83 hours. Average time was 28.33m
War Spoil: one new bulletin "Knight's Cross" (OKW)

SEVEN GAMES: 25m, 22m, 19m, 16m, 26m, 26m, 27m for a total of 161m or 2.68 hours. Average time was 23m
War Spoil: one duplicate commander "Elite Armored Doctrine" (OKW)

SEVEN GAMES: 30m, 22m, 24m, 30m, 30m, 31m, 24m for a total of 191m or 3.18 hours. Average time was 27.28m
War Spoil: one new bulletin "Blown Away"

THREE GAMES: 31m, 23m, 33m for a total of 87m or 1.45 hours. Average time was 29m
War Spoil:one new commander Scavenger Doctrine (OKW).

TWO GAMES 34m, 35m for a total of 69m or 1.15 hours. Average time was 34.5m
War Spoil: two duplicate bulletins.

THIRTEEN GAMES: 23m, 31m, 30m, 21m, 21m, 28m, 17m, 19m, 32m, 22m, 36m, 23m, 45m for a total of 348m or 5.8 hours. Average time was 26.76m
War Spoil: two duplicate bulletins and one duplicate commander.

TWO GAMES: 26m, 20m, for a total of 46m or 0.76 hours. Average time was 23m
War Spoil: OKW one new skin Winter Two-Tone (M)

THREE GAMES: 26m, 29m, 35m for a total of 70m or 1.16 hours. Average time was 23.33
War Spoil: one new bulletin "Be Quick or Be Dead" (US)

In this reply, summary data is:
-43 games
-8 drop occurrences
-11 actual spoils; 5 new, 6 duplicates
-total time 1142 minutes/ 19.03 hours, equivalent to uninterrupted gameplay time of nineteen hours 2 minutes
With this recent number of games, the average drop occurrence (1142/8) is 122.75m, or 2.04h, or two hours 3 minutes between drops.
Outliers: shortest time between drops was 69m or 1.15 hours, longest time 348m or 5.8 hours.

It is a bit too late for me, as i didn't take notes during my grinding, but my average time is/was 2h-2h30 per drop, i got 4 out of the 6 new commanders, for an average of one commander per 20 drops (roughly). I'm starting again today, see if i can get the last US commanders i don't have, and post my updates here.

It's alright, the best time to write down is right after you just got a war spoil, since the alleged mechanic of time resets once you get a reward.

FOUR GAMES: 61m, 25m, 26m, 54m for a total of 166m 2.76 hours. Average time was 23.33m
War Spoil: one duplicate skin: two-tone (H)

THREE GAMES: 42m, 57m, 37m for a total of 136m or 2.6 hours. Average time was 45.33m
War Spoil: one new commander, Fortifications (OKW), one duplicate bulletin Previously on the Walking Stuka (OK)

In this reply, summary data is:
-7 games
-2 drop occurrences
-3 actual spoils; 1 new, 2 duplicates
-total time 302 minutes/ 5.03 hours, equivalent to uninterrupted gameplay time of five hours 2 minutes.
With this recent number of games, the average drop occurrence (302/2) is 151m, or 2.51h, or two hours 31 minutes between drops.
Outliers: shortest time between drops was 136m or 2.6h, longest time was 166m 2.76 hours.

From your values (which are reported well), it takes about 2-2.5 hours to get a drop. That is straight out ridiculous.

If more people post in this format we can get a fairly good estimate of how the system works.

We don't know for sure. I have been getting a few outliers, such as less than one hour to up to like three.

FOUR GAMES: 29m, 35m, 31m, 45m for a total of 140m 2.33 hours. Average time was 35m

You do get a lot of commanders at least, all I get is faceplates and useless bulletins.

But yes, my average is also 2.5 hours or so.

At this time I would like to make a summary of the data ( I am dodgy with math so please correct my methodology if you see any flaws):

13 duplicates.

Average time of all games: 29.946 minutes per game
Average War Spoil: 93/ 33= 2.81 (that is, 2.81 games nets you a war spoil, if the game spans 29 minutes on average).
Average time between a War Spoils drop is
Total War Spoils / Total Hours (33/46.41= 0.711) or 0.711 hours/ 42.66 minutes.
Total Hours / Total War Spoils (46.41/33= 1.406) or 1.4 hours/ 84 minutes.

Assuming my data and equations are all correct, then so far the average time between war spoils is 84 minutes/ 1.4 hours.

Reviewing all the data I put together, I would make the rough guess that you'd have to play about 3-5 games AT LEAST before you can count on a drop occurring.

hei,

i did a lot of farming with a script and in my experinece it needs about 1.3 hours for me to get a war spoil.
my script plays 1 hour games, so basically in 70% of the time i will get a war spoil for a game.

hei,

i did a lot of farming with a script and in my experinece it needs about 1.3 hours for me to get a war spoil.
my script plays 1 hour games, so basically in 70% of the time i will get a war spoil for a game.

17 Games ~1hour 5 minutes
13 drops


Can you upload that script please and make a tutorial on how to use it?

Would be great!

He already has. The thread got locked and invised because scripting in this way is considered cheating.

Having farmed countless hours (1000hours +) when i was more eager to earn useless stuff for this game, i can report my average time is 1h30 to 2h per drop, and if longer time is spent without a drop, it averages rather quickly with games earning 2 to 3 drops, for a grand total average of 1hour and a half per drop. I stopped caring a while ago, since it was 90% duplicates at some point.

It would be better if each game earns you points you would spend in some kind of 'online shop' where you choose what you get, be it skins, faceplates, bulletins, or commanders (of course with correct pricing, to keep things fair). It would actually lead people to play more than this pure luck-based system. But whatever, we deal with it.

Either you restart every idle custom match manually or you let a script be doing that. I don't know how anybody can think it's cheating. All it does is to help the players to get items, that can't be bought like the new vehicle skins.
It's not a maphack or anything like this.

Well, a better term then is that it *may* be considered cheating because in theory it might give some players an unfair advantage.

I had nothing to do with the decision to invis that thread I just happened to see it happen so if you have a problem with it you can take it up with the mods.
