Suppression won't beat them on its own, but it puts the rest of your army in a great position to brutalize them.


A lot of the new weapons (any sort of LMG) tends to be very good against suppression because it fires in a burst, which while it will fire less frequently when suppressed it still will deal a good chunk of damage. However, simply reducing the mobility of your opponent long enough to hit him with AoE attacks is sufficient, really.

"Tomorrow night" is unclear because of our different time zone, I suppose. Night in Canada means daytime here.
Saturday would be good, maybe.

Please stop looking at it as "30% less resources". All of the faction's expenses are designed around their income. (Performance of their units and having increased levels of vet which greatly rewards unit preservation) They have less munitions sinks than other factions, and ways to supplement that income transferred resources.


Learn to throw nades properly. It's an art, I'll admit. Against a blob, you really shouldn't be missing grenades.

The meta changes when people curbstomp it so well that it doesn't work anymore.

So uh, clearly not.

There's not even really a metagame at this point yet anyway. Everyone is still doing boring shit like halftrack rushing and no one has even gleaned the surface of the new factions yet.

Maxims are worst than other MGs at countering blobs, but that's a required by-product of its insane mobility. Soviets have many other ways to counter blobs; ZiS barrage, mortars, kiting T-34/T70, KV-8, Shocks in some cases, demo charges, Katyusha if RNG favors you, and all of their doctrinal tanks pummel infantry. If you get an ISU, your opponent can kiss all his blobs goodbye in an instant. I have a way harder time countering blobs as US than as Soviets, albeit I've found the Stuart howie is pretty damn good vs them.

Still waiting for blobs to get fixed. Quite tired of 5+ squads walking right into my MG teams and just killing them without even getting suppressed.

So if you've spent a lot more mp than your opponent, you should win regardless of tactics? It's one thing if they flank the MG but it's stupid when they just walk right into it and kill it anyway.

Blob spent MOAR, blob should win.

If you like a 6 Fusilier + 2 Volks + Officer blob A-Move vs 3 shocks + 3 Cons blob game, Cata had one, not sure if he save that replay though.

HMGs should get a accuracy/dmg/suppression(whatever testing proves best) bonus vs 3 or more squads within its arc.That way early game won't be ruined as 3 unit blob early game charging at mg isn't going to happen,but late game blobs will be 'dealt' with.So no early game mg spam,but good blob counter in machine guns.

True, but blobbed guys should also be punished at the same time. Blobbed infantry are much easier to hit IMO, give them like an increased received accuracy modifier.

Isnt that the approach that keeps blobbing viable? I mean, if we follow you logic the only viable counter to blibbing would be a counterblob.
