I've lost 3 games in a row now because of this, most recently because I was flanking with my panzer and my game froze right as an SU85 comes out of the fog of war. 10 seconds later I come back just in time to see my panzer explode.
Uninstalled this sad excuse for a game until it's fixed.
The current iteration of the ISU-152 one shots full squads with alarming frequency. During late game, having vetted squads get wiped basically ensures that you'll lose the game which makes this unit especially brutal.
There seems to be no way to counter this unit currently, and it seems to be better than the Elefant in every way right now.
While it was underpowered for a long time, Relic went too far with the buffs. I'd be happy if its anti tank ability was maintained, but its anti infantry was nerfed significantly.
I started an automatch game a few minutes ago only to realize that when I entered the loading screen one of my teammates was an easy CPU.
I know people often troll and make their steam names "CPU-" etc., but this was actually an easy bot. It loaded instantly and could not be clicked on in game to "view profile" as with normal players.
I enjoyed having a guaranteed loss before the game even began, simply great.
As stated in the title, the game freezes for ~10 seconds where nothing happens on screen, followed by a fast forwarded game depicting the action that you missed, usually resulting in the deaths of all of your units which were in combat at the time.
This happens to me at least once every single game I play.
I know this happens to many players, so I figured I would create this thread so we could all sound off on this problem and get it fixed.
I posted this in the other thread on this issue and I'll post it here as well.
I don't want to "craft loot," I don't want to "grind for legendary drops," I don't want to trade "hats," and I don't want to buy / test drive commanders.
Here is what I want: I pay $60 ($80 now with this expansion) and I receive all of the content that ships with the game immediately.
This drop and commander rotation system is the most half assed attempt at artificial longevity I have ever seen implemented into a game.
It is amazing that even 1 person at Relic thought that any of this was a good idea or would be well received by the community.
It's also telling that Relic has been almost completely silent on this issue since they know that their terrible incentive program has been chewed up and spit out by the community.
And to the people comparing this to TF2 or DOTA 2 (ignoring the fact that the "cosmetic economy" or "pay2grind-less" systems are absolutely horrendous), this is a game I paid a significant amount of real money for, not received for free.
I don't see much to take issue with there. They said they heard the communities critiques and are giving feedback to the relevant parties. Don't know what else you can ask for.
That's marketing speak for "we really don't care what you guys think, enjoy your TF2 hats."
There will always be blobbing. It's a crutch that bad players use to obtain success, just like all-in openings in Starcraft II. You will never truly get rid of it.
But as I said, counters exist and they work. The only blob I have problems against is the Volks + Obers one as US, since it has solid AT and also immense AI potential. But I usually win by spamming Stuart howies or HE shermans. As Soviets, blobs are usually very manageable. Demo charges are a lovely thing.
So you beat a blob also by blobbing? How shocking.
Also, this doesn't respond to the issue of how to deal with blobs early game, especially as OKW.
