Volley Fire, from "I WIN" to "I LOSE"

I don't like it before because it was an OMGWTFBBQ I win button, ignoring the gatling bazooka bug, its ability to suppress everyone in his sight even in green cover was clearly, a joke.

But now? It is an "I LOSE" button now, it can't suppress for fuck sake and more likely to get killed instantly.
My Sturm can walk into their face under volley fire and vaporise them.


Relic, why you always deal things in that EXTREME?

yeah they nerf over the top, most of the times.... but what i see is that they shorten the time from one patch to another

Yeah, it seems pretty useless now. Even has trouble suppressing in neutral cover at mid range for the full duration. Kind of an overnerf if you ask me.

I have no idea what's happening with Relic. It either needs the damage penalty or a suppression decrease, not both.

It's either nerf it this way or thay way, not double nerfs into one unit.

Relic is going overkill with their nerfs, it's like "aw, fuck it, I'm going to use both nerfs" It's the same with the Panther. Either give it price increase or health decrease, but not both.

I called it. Long before even the patch notes, I said nerfing it would make this happen. Relic doesn't know how to nerf.

*I think* that the intention of volley fire was for it to be used in conjunction with other troops shielding your RET. I think that is why they added the damage received modifier, so you can't just use it in a 1 unit vs 1 unit fight and auto win. The suppression is quite low now though.

I think your speaking too soon, still using it as u did before. Use with supporting units, Use when garrisoned. Although the nerf was abit overkill.

You can't "shield" a unit. It's not like this is Dawn of War 2 and the Axis are all melee units. The only kind of "shielding" that happens in this game is with crowd control and anti-tank weapons, which defeats the purpose of a RE in the first place.

Volley Fire is meant to be used to shield your Riflemen, not the other way around.

It has next to no tactical benefit anymore. It takes ages to effect an enemy, and in the mean time that sturmpio squad is wiping your Rear Echelon in a matter of seconds.

The rate of suppression was never the issue.

Now it is useless. I don't think you can even suppress a squad in negative cover anymore.

God damn Relic, even as a Axis player fan I hate the way they overnerf Rear Echelon like that.

They should just make them only able to suppress 1 squad only and take longer time if that squad is in green cover ( Just like the HMG unit ).

We asked them to " can you next time don't put too much pepper into my food ? " and they replied by " no more pepper for you bitch "

The Rear Echelon troops are fine I think. I'v had my troops suppressed by them while rifles do the damage and/or prevent my units from closing in to take out the Rear Echelon. If Relic buffs the Rear Echelon in the next patch, then it'll be a major step backwards in the balance department.
