Brief Description: The SdKfz 182 Tiger B, most commonly known as the ‘King Tiger’ improves on the already vaunted capabilities of the Tiger by adding a higher-velocity KwK 43 L/71 88mm gun and more effective sloped armor. Powerful, but slow. Effective against all targets. Weak to massed anti-tank weapons.
Deployment Conditions: Requires Schwerer Panzer Headquarters
Deployed From: Schwerer Panzer Headquarters
Quote: Fire the main gun.

Abilities

Pintle-mounted MG42 machine gun: Tank crew uses the pintle-mounted MG42 for additional defense against infantry and aircraft. Pintle machine gun offers some 12000 rounds per minute of extra protection.

Spearhead: Focusing on a frontal assault, the King Tiger has faster turret rotation and a longer sight range, but the turret is locked to 90 degrees. Toggle ability. Turret rotation locked to forward 90 degrees, turret can track more quickly and sight range is increased.

Combat Blitz: Tanks employ well-practiced Blitzkrieg tactics, moving at maximum speed to avoid some enemy fire.

Veterancy Levels
•Rank 1: King Tiger can use Combat Blitz increasing the speed of the tank for a short period of time.
•Rank 2: Elite crews operate the King Tiger with greater efficiency, acquiring targets faster and with greater accuracy.
•Rank 3: Spearhead tactics increase the combat power of the vehicle, but restricts turret rotation to the front of the tank.
•Rank 4: Battle hardened officers better synchronize their crew, increasing vehicle mobility and sight.
•Rank 5: King Tiger navigates the battle field with ease and fires with greater frequency.

Description:

Known as the Tiger II or “King Tiger” the SdKfz 182 Tiger B is one of the most powerful German tanks operating on the Western Front. Combining thick armor with a sloping design for durability the tank weighs nearly seventy tons. Issued to heavy tank battalions it was first used in combat in the summer of 1944 during the Battle of Normandy.
The heavy armor and powerful long-range gun gives the King Tiger an advantage against US Forces and Soviet tanks that attempt to engage it head on. Allied armies need to flank the Tiger in order to get around its frontal armor and avoid its devastating KwK 43 L/71 8.8 cm caliber tank turret.

As a late game unit the Tiger B can crush the opposing army’s resistance and turn the tide on the field of battle.

Maybe the super-heavy doctrinal tanks will be built in base buildings as a restriction. Then they will cost manpower, fuel, and time to deploy.

Yeah just because it's always available doesn't mean it's always a good Idea. You can't skip teching and the entire faction is rather resource starved in the first place.

I'm thinking that the rear armor on the Tiger II will probably counter (or render low effectiveness) the gunfire from every non-heavy tank besides the M36.

Don't be silly. Relic isn't going to make it unbeatable. It will still be vulnerable to flanks from even the T34/76s and M4 shermans you just might need 3 instead of the 2 for a tiger.

So they didn't buff the rear all that much. You can take down a Tiger I with 2 x T-34/76s? That's a close call. I'm thinking more like 3 to get the kill.

in a complete 1v1 without any units or anything, a single t-34/76 will kill a a tiger because the t-34/76 will run around him faster than tigers turret can turn.

That is false. Turning the Tiger as well as the turret will kill the t34 no sweat.

If Tiger has engine damage, then yes. Otherwise, Tiger can easily pivot and move its turret just as fast as T34 circles.

You can move the tiger to turn instead of the turret, and voilá, you cant be circlestrafed.

Tigers are used with faust grens and a pak as overwatch. A faust will connect. Tigers are micro'ed backwards and the whole body is shifted so the turret rotates faster.
