so if i get this straight. you go into the store and buy mechanized assault commander?

I watched the replays and here's what they show:

. Keep Grens in cover and in pairs.

. get any combination of MG42, Pak40 & 222 Scout Car.

. most importantly, Molo has three capping units which lets Von take dominant map control. As soon as you see the car if you can't engage it just spread the fuck out.

My personal choice is a fourth Gren or an MG42. Once you have veterancy you can obliterate scout cars with Incendiary Rounds.

Playing against M3s and double snipers just ruin the fun of playing CoH2. Taking on M3s is just frustratingly hard, and it only takes the enemies mistake, not the players cunning to destroy them.

Relic there is a reason why cars in vCoH does tiny damage, fix this unit NOW!!!!!!

Hopefully OKW's Kubelwagen will be able to help counter Soviet T1, although it should really be given to both factions imo.

Idc if he played well, played badly, micro'd good, micro'd bad at times or w/e. All I care about is showing people how to counter them. It's so god damn simple. Go fast pak with heavy gren + mg into either another pak or dbl scout car. Also only faust if you know you can get 2 on him for sure, don't be ballsy, and stay together/anticipate his moves.

You are correct but you also expected the m3 to appear and could adequately prepare for it.
The m3 as a whole is a bit to powerful right now as teching to tier 2 takes longer. if you ask me they should reduce fuel for teching to tier 2 and increase it for tier 3. this would also solve some of the maxim problems.

I think all-in strats are good to have, and going for more than 1 or 2 M3s is an all-in. Yeah, they aren't fun to play against in automatch 5 times in a row when they are FOTM, but it adds variety and makes for more interesting bo3 and bo5 series. It's also far from unbeatable. If you don't kill multiple units and set yourself up to win the game in the first 7 minutes with the m3s you are probably going to lose.

Yeah when you play as soviets it doesn't seem that M3 is overpowered - at first, you have less capping power, at second, 1 faust and if you lucky enough to take out your M3 off the fight, you have even less capping power (as 1 engie is busy repairing that car). Yes it fast, but when I see more then 1 gren even off the green cover , I drive the fuck out ftom that place.

I also find M3 sniper/guard spam is pretty much all I face these days.

In 2v2 its worse, one guy spams T2 while one spams M3's or/and snipers->guards. I played a game yesterday where one guy only I repeat only built maxims and zis then ISU and the other only built snipers and m'3s then T34/85 call in.

Make M3 take longer to repair and possibly make it so units take 1 sec to get in and out. This would make it more risky for squads inside instead of just tanking fasusts with flame pio's/penals because you know you can kill the grens drain the munis and repair.

For the T2 spam and FIX THE F*****G NEBEL reduce maxim and Zis crew to 5 man or increase dmg buff for small arms serious these units are good enough without the extra durability and when flanked take way longer to kill than the Pak or MG.

Also fix the call in meta every 1v1 is tiger vs t34/85 the winner of this battle wins the game in most instances.

In my opinion fighting M3s just requires discipline. It's actually all about who loses his nerves first and overextends.
As others mentioned before, keep your units together, keep them in cover and use an HMG42 as a backup.

M3s can be a pain to deal with, but they're also hard to master since vehicle movement is still quite buggy sometimes.

It's an interesting theory but if you won't extend/cap, the game will become even more difficult. Guys using this strat, are counting on the fact that you will cap little teritory compared to them because you need to keep your early units bunched up to effectively respond to M3. Because of that, they will have a better resources flow and you will see T34s sooner than you may have a T3 unit. And from there, GG is just one step further.

Keeping your units together does not mean that they all sit in the same sector and wait for the m3s to come.

You just have to make sure that there's always a second grensquad or an mg nearby so you can hold the m3 at bay.

Like a fishswarm, swimm loosely and once the predator appears bulk up.

Fair enough, that sounds sensible. I'll try it.

I am honestly a late comer to this topic and did not read every single post, but today I played a game where my opponent gave me the perfect opportunity to use the m3 against him; he went mg spam.

I know this is reverse of what is being discussed here, but for those who want to see why it works so well, it's because sometimes people play into its advantage. Also some maps favor the m3 a bit.

Anyway, +1 to von Ivan!!!
