Last patch broke the game?

Its not about the tanks, its about the infantry. Grenadiers and Pgrens nerf. Conscript buff. Tell me, what are you supposed to do? Played 6 games after patch. Actually i win 4 out of 6 in average, but this time 6 losses. Are you kidding me? Wasnt the patch before and this patch in order to not blob your infantry? Wooh conscript blob ftw? No brainer ppshs are back? Stronger at medium and high range? With upgrade strong at every range? Callins still too strong (because you dont have to buy expensive buildings)? I am out until furter changes. This is rediculous Relic. Worst time until the OP SU85 period, do you remember?

I am out!

Its really easy now that infgantry balance is perfect:

Infantry in better cover wins.

If not, infantry that is not running towards opponent wins.

Adapt. Its like that since march deployment, except now conscripts kill things instead of being target practice.

LMG grens are still THE best long range infantry in game.

Balance is good. Just use support weapons and light vehicles to support grens then came g43/lmg and you are back on the horse. Playing Germans is really fun now, its not about grens spam like before patch

Use combined arms and cover.

Actually i win 4 out of 6 in average,

If you win 4 out 6 matches on average, also known as 2 out of 3, you think this means that you always win 2 out of 3 matches? That is not how averages work.

, but this time 6 losses. Are you kidding me?

Loss streaks happen. Even to good players, and especially to bad players.

Wasnt the patch before and this patch in order to not blob your infantry?

Previous patch fixed conscript blobs. Previous patch made G43/LMG42 grenadier blobs even stronger. This patch fixed that.

Wooh conscript blob ftw?

H M G 4 2.

No brainer ppshs are back?

No, ppsh41 upgrades are only good on maps with a lot of close-quarter combat; see later points.

Stronger at medium and high range?

Conscripts lose to grens at long range. Conscripts beat grens at close range. LMG42 gives extra fire power at all ranges. G43 Rifles boost short and midrange DPS.

With upgrade strong at every range?

No. Conscripts lose 50% of their mid-long range DPS when upgraded. The PPSH41s, like other SMGs only do actual damage below 10m; aka short range.

Callins still too strong (because you dont have to buy expensive buildings)?

Both factions have call-ins. Soviets also rely more on doctrinal tanks because they can't build both T3 and T4 and, unlike with the german higher tiers, the soviet tiers don't have good AI/AT combinations available in their T3 and T4 buildings.

You probably grew accustomed to Gren Spam instapwning everything last patch. The reality now is that Grens fight on a more equal footing with conscripts (which is how it should be). Use HMG42s to counter blobs. In short, use combined arms.

And here I thought conscripts and grenadiers were not supposed to be balanced with each other considering the doctrinal units and penal battalions that soviets have access to in terms of infantry.

But the way the game is supposedly being balanced seems to completely change gears with every patch, so who knows.

"Doctrinal and penal battalions" .. Lul wut?

Like Germans do not have access to PGs quickly and easily, none doctrinally.

I feel like every HMG42 needs to have another HMG42 backing it up for the inevitable OORAH / Molotov / Both.

I try to resist the urge to rant, basically because I don't know what I'm talking about and no one is going to listen to me.

OP you should try this sometime.

Have you tried moving your MG42 when you see you are getting into situation where you will be Oorah'd or molotoved?
It works great for me, I see people try to kill crawling con squad with MG42 and complain about Molotov.

Pin-move, pin-move. By that time Cons should be completely pinned or you should get some support to your MG42

The idea is that now you really need to use MGs which is a good thing. using dual mg is actually a good idea on open ground. But nothing new here, so it was before 25 march. Just apply same old tactics like before, and pray that con squads will be pinned quickly enough, before they manage to throw a molotov in your face. If they are coming from more directions and you don't have enough troops to support your mg, that engagement can't be won anyway so hit the retreat button and come back later to reclaim the lost teritory.

^^This. Get a LMG or two and focus fire on the closest squad, you don't really even need to pin them, suppression is enough. Don't forget you can switch target in the cone of fire (although it is pretty slow), sometimes it's better to try to suppress as many as you can rather than pin one. Pack your mg and soft retreat before they get too close. Scripts can't chase your MG long without taking heavy casualties when you are focus firing the squad with grens.

Yes but my attention is often split between multiple engagements and in a 2v2 early/mid game you will be dealing with a metric ton of units. I agree it does work and I make good use of it from time to time, but shit happens.

I might just be crazy but I feel like mgs don't suppress large blobs like they used to in the first game.

Maxims do. Try to snag one if you can as axis for any consistent blob pinning. But they are designed to lock down german sized armies and squads, so usually a soviet blob just spills outside its cone of fire naturally.
