Thread: Is this supposed to be?21 Sep 2015, 12:59 PM Hi guys, Icestrike here, I just had a game as the OKW (my first one after the patch) and I faced of against brits. Somewhere in the mid-game I chose Special Operations as a response to the emplacement-heavy play of my opponent. Obviously I went for the Sturmtiger to deal with the mentioned emplacements. I had to witness one of my Shots taking away only 3/4 of a 17 pounder (not decrewing it). My Sturmtiger shell also failed to destroy a mortar position (decrewed it, but it barely survived). It's important to say, that none of these emplacements were barricaded when my shell hit. I guess that's supposed to be that way? I am not sure. So the Sturmtiger is not a good counter for those? What do the strategists say? And whats the best way to deal with mortar emplacements at spots difficult for me to reach with vehicles? Offmap maybe? (The artillery barrage you get with the Panzercommander on top seemed to be quiet effective, though). In: OKW Strategies
Thread: Abilities need reworking17 Sep 2015, 12:32 PM I am not a fan of heavy artillery / offmap abilities / plane attacks for a lot of ammo. I think it is pretty cheap just to stack a ton of munitions and let heavy artillery or planes win engagements for you. Properly set light artillery barrages or one-time plane strafes are fine; I am talking about USF Thunderbolt rocket strike (like 240 ammo? not sure, sorry), OKW Artillery on target (300 ammo) or the mentioned UKF Air Supremacy Operation (325 ammo). There are a few more. In my opinion there shouldn't be offmap abilities more expensive than the 240 munition strafes soviets and ostheer got (USF AT-rocket strike may be way to heavy to fit here I think)or some Artillery pieces like railway- or sector-artillery. Thread: Voice volume11 Sep 2015, 15:24 PM Hey guys, it's Icestrike here, am I the only one with the problem that the british commander's voice is way louder than the voice of my Units? I just gave my units some orders and they confirmed it; all of the sudden the british commander yells insanely loud: "A new Infantry Section of tommies has arrived!"
