I think the second set of MP40s is just the pioneers without the side bags.

The 'pioneer kit' was that tall, narrow backpack + the 2 side bags.

Could be Oberkommando West's pioneer squad. The differences make them easy enough to tell apart. The lack of side bags and pistol make their pallet more green, and their boots make them a bit more distinct.

OKW Pioneer squads appear to have a shreck upgrade.

Compare the band around the helmet, the tall thin backpack, the MP40s, the same uniform colour, and the same boots as pioneers in the other image:

great find strumming, i'm going to put the image in, but i think it's a possiblity that the panzergrens in the trailer dropped it... just something to remember

Possible, but on the other hand, Engineers doubling as Anti-Tank isn't a new concept in video games.

Hell, Americans have great shooter - 5 people all with self-loading rifles and one M18 recoilless. Why such poor conscripts? Can remake the USSR with the advent of the United States?

I have this feeling that the OKW's main infantry will be Panzergrenadiers, as they're wearing panzercrew jackets. The panzergrenadiers of the Panzer-Lehr-Division did this. And apparently the Lehr used some PzKpfW II's as reconnaissance vehicles as well.

So you think they'll be a mechanised division like Panzer Elite?

Personally I'm hoping they'll be more solid than that, closer to US/WM/SU/OT. PE and CM were kinda gimmicky and while fun, they seemed to lack depth, and both generally degraded into blob tactics.

Well I think they at least took some inspiration from them, especially with the panzercrew jackets, as the Panzer-Lehr-Division panzergrenadiers were the only infantry to wear them.

I don't believe the new German faction will be similar to the PE - like mentioned they were a blob-faction like the Brits, I hope they have learned their lesson and they will be more similar to the Wehr/Ostheer with a few twists thrown in.
