KcH in Coh1 were a silly unit to begin with. There never was such a unit in reality.

If you want to fight shock troopers, I recently used the new air superiority doctrine + flame halftrack effectively. With the ability to trade fuel for ammunition that shouldn´t be too costly.

Are you suggesting they are limited to specific doctrines or as a standard unit from a tier building?

Flame Halftrack (FHT) has very less armor :( sadly cant escape if get 1 shot from AT.

I'm going mad coz of Shock Troops + Sniper!

It would be cool if we get Knight Cross from a building but if they dont then its ok to have them in a DLC coz Shock Troops are call in unit...

Agreed this is a great call. Then they should make Shocking Shock Troops to beat the Knights Cross Holders. Then they should make Knights with Knight's Crosses to beat the Shocking Shock Troops, and so on ad infinitum.
Get more armor, shocks are great, but they have literally no answer to anything more armored than the 222, and even the 222 can beat them at range.

If you really want to beat Shock Troops with CoH1 units, go for the Stormtroopers with 150 Mun for double StG Upgrade. Quad StG Stormtroopers were unrivaled in their infantry-killing ability, nothing beat them. They also had 90 health when the median was closer to 60, and their armour ontop of that protected them further (it was not the armour we have in CoH2, it was much more sophisticated).

I have no doubt they'd tear Shock Troops to pieces, they were literally the Übermensch.

Though I like the idea of bringing Stormtroopers in the game as a doctrinal unit, I am afraid of the balance prolems that this new unit could bring, especially if they would be more than a match for shocks.

And they wouldn't have any difference(except uniform and need for doctrine) over PZGs with camo upgrade due to how camo works in coh2.

You're getting jeager light infantry eventually, that will be all you'll need.

If they go shock troops and snipers they will have no counter to light vehicles. Punish them with well micro'd scout cars or a flamer ht. If you can't micro it well enough to keep it alive, then you need to work on your micro.
