I am actually pretty happy and want to let Relic know that this feature increases game experience quite much!

All games are super stable and have eliminated input lag until up to an acceptable minimum.

I would like to ask you guys how the new network setup feels for you in terms of lagless gameplay?

I like the Battle-servers, the game flows well, however there seems to be some players that just drop in the middle of the game, and sometimes it takes a while for the game to start when a guy has a slow pc/inet

They need to put up a server in Europe as well. This way, it is ridiculous.

Runs very well for me in 1v1, 2v2 and 3v3. Not tested 4v4 yet.

The biggest concern with battle servers I've seen so far I witnessed in a 4v4 I played last night. This could be maybe somewhat minor in the end though.

I have a fairly well built computer so as a result I have my settings set to the max. Now the game runs pretty much perfectly smooth for me in game, but I do have a long load up time.

What I saw in the 4v4 is my teammates loaded along with the enemy before me and the game STARTED before I finished even loading. How do I know this well once I did load and I could see my pioneers in my base the game went into a "fast forward mode" as if I were watching a replay in an effort to catch up with the players who were already playing. I saw my teams mates units moving unusually rapidly and my resources increased very quickly much faster than normal.

Definitely an interesting way to address severe lag issues, but cant help wonder if this "fast forward" type mode will cause problems in the future for players with bad specs. For me I could simply lower my settings, but for those who can't, I guess we'll have to see what future has in store for them.

Is there only one server? And what is the country where it is in?

I played 5-6 games yesterday with no lag whatsoever. My 2v2 buddy tells me he played 11-12 games, all with similarly good results.

I used to have this long load time when I only had 4GB of memory - 8GB solved it instantly so I guess its probably texture sizes and swapping things to cache. I was thinking that what you describe might occur and that the players that hang at the start of these games would be at a disadvantage but then I guess so will people who lag in games whilst others move freely around them.

Im in Europe and the (admittedly few) games I played yesterday were all silky smooth and I appreciated the instant starts - it gave the game a whole new professional sheen. I feel this is a huge step for the game assuming that the experience is fairly universal.

Those with the lag and slow starts, well, turn down i'm afraid or upgrade though Relic could/should increase the graphic options in game to allow more flexibility. Yesterdays nvidia patch was the first to mention coh2 specifically and there are some additional tweaks people can make in the config file and stopping replay encoding to gain a bit more.

Thankyou Relic for doing the right thing in this case

Well I live in the East Coast of the US so for me it has eliminated input lag altogether. Very Very impressed with this feature. It made my 1v1 like a comp stomp. Very crisp and responsive.

Today I am experiencing some issues with Battle Servers. Basically every once in a while the game totally freezes for 1-2 (sometimes even 3-4) seconds and then it works again normally, moving all the units faster for few secs as if it tries to get again in sync.

It felt a bit weird honestly and while the majority of the game ran smooth those freeze moments caused me some troubles, like almost losing a sniper and a gren squad.

Am I the only one experiencing this? (The game runs at 60-80 fps all maxed, no AA and no vsync, 1680x1050).

My net connection was fine but I got intermittent lag and dropped from the game.

Other than that one instance it's fine.
