Anyone else think that it would be nice to get a AAA option that doesn't require fuel or T3 and which comes at T2 (Soviet) or T1/T2 (Ost)
Something like a 20mm cannon or Flakvierling for the Ost and a 25 or 37mm for the Sovs?
AAA options that are not T3?

actually the IS'2 and ISU-152 have HMG's in turret that kill faster than any other HMG in Ostheer's tanks

Oh whew, glad to know I can get some viable AAA options at 12CP late game.
Luckily (as some troll earlier pointed out) axis don't have airplanes that need defending against so no need for AA options early late or mid!
Germans have no air force ... From the makers of soviet snipers are op, clown cars are op, and tiger tanks suck.

Were you pin plane spammed even once?
That alone is a reason to get AA.
Leaving scout planes doing their job isn't too healthy either on the long run.
Maybe it's 'cause the Axis players aren't a bunch of forum crybabies, and they keep their cool and fight the uphill battle, unlike some of their "allied" counterparts.

It's called the scout car and every mg-42 upgrade for your tanks for the Germans. Soviets get nothing.Previously the devs said the scout car and mg pintles have less than 2 percent chance to shoot down a plane. So it looks like Sovs are not the victim after all.

pretty sure 4/5 recon planes that are sent out, mounted mg42s on p4 and panthers are gunning it down in the span of 5 to 15 seconds.
that is consistent with what many have said before.

Not that I have never seen it happen, but I rarely ever see it happen. The actual accuracy rate vs planes and the feelings sov players have of it's "magnificent anti air abiliy" is not gelling.

then im sure if you were on the receiving end, you might get a better perspective. easier too since u'd always hear pilots screaming all the time the moment they appear for recon runs. this however, is only for recon planes as far as im concerned. as to strafes i have no idea.

Try affording both of those more than once.
In a everything but 1v1 situation that'll be easy. Opel trucks, supply drop, resource convert from fuel to munitions, caches.

I was making fun of sturmtigerneffarion who stated that Germans don't have planes ... Yes I have been pin plane spammed, and dive bombed over and over, etc ... Its why I usually go t3 with a few quads in 4v4s. They end up really paying off

As a side note I should point out that the new air superiority commander does not have planes that loiter the battlefield - it just shoots once and flies away. So anti-air is not as important as it seems when playing against this commander.

Yeah I'd love a Flak 38 / 25mm M1940 to be buildable in friendly territory by Pioneers / Engineers. Even if you can only do it in your base / secured territory.
