I'm pretty sick and tired of BIG TANK GAMING!!!1 (tm)

Can we have funny light tanks and tankettes? Sometimes you have to step into uncharted territory and make some decisions you might not think will work out perfectly. And in return make some concessions to please the other crowd.

Look at Battlefield 1; at a time where everyone and their mother was out with the whole SPACE WARFARE setting, Battlefield 1 took it all the way back to fucking World War 1. Now, did they make it Verdun-level WW1 gameplay? Fuck no they didn't. They still had smgs and automatic weapons, but it was a bit limited and very clearly fit the setting. They stuck their neck out a little, but still tried to keep the game fun.

Why can't Relic just fucking trust their playerbase enough to try something a little new? Why do they want to just take CoH2 gameplay with a CoH1 coat of paint and slap "CoH3" onto it?

What a joke.

Thank you for this incredibly deep analysis. Although, I did read a guy on reddit say that it's CoH1 in CoH2 skin so now I don't know which arbitrary bs statement to believe.

Then they can go play CoH2 if they love them so friggin much. And also, that's why I said that the devs have to stick their neck out a little. BUT also throw a bone to the other ppl. They could easily focus on the light tanks, but only include heavies and sturdy mediums as absolute unicorns/ special units.

I like big tank plays. It's nice that you have three tiers of heaviness.

You have light tanks which are early game and transition into late game as utility vehicles.
Medium tanks which are mid game and transition into late game as just all-rounders you can spam.
Yo mama tanks which are exceptional in every way.

Makes the game more fun, especially in larger modes.

So... just because you don't like it doesn't mean anything. It hasn't got some deep profound meaning just because it's not mainstream.

having no heavies in a coh game is like removing grenades from halo. people will nonstop ask for it. Look at how much people begged for Pershing when usf launched for coh2

And how much Pershing do you see in the game? I have not seen Pershing for several years :)

You can thank the balance team for that mostly. I also don't see KV2, IS2, KV1 (after the dmg reduction nerf). Mostly because they just don't fit and are pointless to play. But you do see IS152, elefants, jagds, tigers and king tigers on a regular basis (>1 in each 3v3 game). Wonder why?

With the current design in heavy tanks, it doesn't make much sense. He was at the start of the game when there were no heavy tank limits and 3 vs 3 and 4 vs 4 matches ended in a huge heavy tank battle. Now, in general, a heavy tank (perhaps except for the Churchill) is a waste of resources and it is more profitable to use a tank destroyer. I myself recently played matches only with the IS-2 and once again made sure that this is a meaningless tank.

Like I said, concessions can be made to keep everyone happy, but this is too derivative. Too many BEEK TANKS. Like I said, Relic doesn't trust their fanbase enough to do something new. Sad.

That would require them to actually do some work. Relic is basically like Activision Blizzard in numerous ways.

They are :

- Out of Touch with their player base (Dawn of War 3)
- Reuse the same engine over and over in every game like Call of Duty. They apply a colorful filter to COH3 and they can pretend like they actually did some work while also blinding us with the extreme color brightness (so much so that some dessert maps look like Mars) This allows them to reuse most of their assets. Relic is all about doing the bare minimum and least work possible (just look at how they have missing, misleading or lack of information in tooltips)
-Took them 20+ years to finally add the ability to change hotkeys which has been requested and cried about all the way back in the 90's.

Well....I put 3 KT HEAT shells into one a couple days ago. One shell bounced

Oh believe me, ppl will clamour for the USF heavy again, even if they later hate it. Please no M6 heavy Relic, that would be bad.

Too late, the Black Prince is already here. Its opened the door for all sorts of nonsense: - wait a minute, Britain got the Black Prince, why not give the US a T1/M6 heavy tank?

Because it's a very very heavy slow brick that'll get stomped by a Tiger? It's got a 75mm gun so you can't move it to lower tiers like say...a British Matilda (40mm gun) could have been. So late game tech placement where it has to face...a Tiger.

Or maybe Tiger is the problem after Black Prince? o_O

Ah, and there's another argument here: reality ≠ balance and the game might be viable. And in general, Britain in the game has a prototype from 1945 in Africa 1942-1943. We also want a cool wunderwaffe for our faction. Give it to us now!

the M6 had the M7 cannon, which was installed on the M10 destroyer tank, and in terms of armor penetration it was quite a good cannon comparable to the penetration of the 88 Tiger cannon. But in general, it was a terrible tank and therefore it did not get to the front, although 40 tanks were produced.
