Short and sweet: People are whining like hell about the Tiger Ace. But what about the KV-2? It tears through 2 vetted Panthers like they were clown cars. It's not even enjoyable anymore.

What it does to infantry isn't even worth mentioning because no infantry so far has seen a KV-2 and lived to tell the tale. It's completely insane.

Other than that.. Vetted units feel way too weak now. They die like flies.

This patch changed alot.. way too much if you ask me.

If you cant post a constructive post, then don't post at all.

Go play the Germans and see what a KV-2 does to you, then we can talk. I got thousands of games in COH + COH2 so don't come here talking like you're some guru.

this thing is a wide range monster in stationary modus. It looks like an ISU/Brumbaer mix :D

I haven't detected an imbalance in this yet. The KV-2 has critical weaknesses: 18 second/per shot reload rate in tank mode. Panzer IV/Panthers have 6, 6.5 ish seconds/per shot.

In full deploy mode, it autofires and sometimes targets infantry instead of attacking tanks. It misses more than you think.

It cost 240 fuel and has the armor/hp of the KV-1.

This man has balls. But seriously, I'm not sure what the OP is calling for. It's a heavy tank that is basically mobile artillery and comes at a high cost. Flanking counters it. If you can't flank, get your own artillery or an elephant.

It also changes from tank to siege model very slowly; I think 20 seconds? It is so slow that the change order is a moment to get exploited as the tank doesn't fire.

Yes. So if you are close enough with your infantry / tanks it can't fire at you.

in one of stephennjf games it sppears to have a minimum range, atleast for its arty ability.

also i don't think it can move or rotate turret while in arty mode. (or whatever its called.)

It can rotate its turret.

Another thing: The KV-2, when in siege mode, is blind. You need a spotter of some sort.

I use my scout car with sniper.

minimum range is 25. if you want to see what this looks like, its the same as the min range on mortars. just start a barrage and look at the inner circle.

When KV-2 is set up in its "static mode" it's a static defense and have usual flaws of a static defense. When its not then reload time is around 18 seconds? So it shoots 3x a minute. Yeah, clearly OP.


I think that general trend for German players in this game is to call every Soviet unit that can actually kill and is decent OP and whine for nerf.

KV-2 is assault tank, has 152mm gun, 320 damage per shot and 15 seconds reload, also it's common that gunner or tank is stunned. 250 Fuel is pretty high for that tank but people only see this unit as a OP shit that is one-shotting every german tank
