Yeah, except if you put them in a match and compare the performance of 7man shrek cons and 5man LMG42 Grens vs PIATs 5man Tommies and BRENs 5man Tommies, the former are better.

Solely because they got gutted to accommodate their shit awful design decision to make bolster a global. I recall vividly when tommies were just straight up better grens at 4 men and monsters at 4. Now they are a joke as 4 men and alright with 5. That's exactly the point in trying to make. Either 4 men are trash so 5 men are balanced or 4 men are worth the cost and 5 man tips them way over the edge. You can't reasonably balance such a power spike. Cons extra model either comes from a full tech or 3 combined side techs and 2 buildings THEN takes a munitions cost AND their only weapon slot and it still had to be toned down by removing the cover bonus and lowering the reinforcement bonus. Increasing model count is such a colossal upgrade its hard to balance and has caused nothing but problems balancing tommies from the word go.

Also brems got heavily nerfed because--go figure 5 man double lmg infantry with elite target size and bonus durability in cover was fucking Overpowered. Again a result of the global 5 man upgrade

Both 4 and 5 mean are fine. It’s an expensive upgrade that lets them scale into the med game and then double BRENs let them scale into the late game.

All this is necessitated thanks to their laughable veterancy bonuses.

Give the cover bonus only in green cover and garrison. That should fix the no-brain bren-blobbs.

IS are good, strong but that does not mean OP.
Since UKF have a good start now, it changed completely the way its played. It was before a slow start steamroll faction. After so many patches it became a fast snowball that desintegrates towards midgame into lategame, mainly because the unit variety axis have, rather than sheer strenght. At least IMO. UKF is no longer what it was in the past nor what it was ment to be by design. Some gimmicks are still present, that should be revised in upcoming patches.

I would say valentine is too good, at least when considering AEC does pretty well too at a considerably fast timing. Nerf istead AEC/Valentines and some doctrinal command powers. Sections could only receive a small moving acc nerf, nothing more. Maybe implement the bolster taking a weapon slot too.

Great idea. Then let them have lmg for 60 munis. The same long-range faust and rifle grenade. It will be much better.

Why do infantry sections who comfortably wreck all counterpart German infantry in a 1 on 1 out of cover get a bonus IN cover??? This defies all logic.

That's because they don't get any bonus in cover, but penalty OUT of cover.

Obviously something that you don't even understand is going to defy logic for you, because you're using illogical explanation for something you don't know anything about.

I pretty much agree with Blackdream, make the Bolster side-tech unlock the bolster upgrade and make it like 50 muni or something and then even though sections with 2x Brens and 5-man and the best healing in the game with at least be the most expensive to fully upgrade which is how they should be imo. 270 mp is fine for 4 man sections but replacing a section once they are 5-man should be like 300 mp or something. If they had to pay 50 muni for bolster + 30 for healing + 90 for Brens it would be 170 or 180 muni to fully upgrade the squad (if you want Pyrotechnics instead of heals). Honestly wouldn't be against Tommies having a snare once you tech up to Tier 2 either. Since that would be later in the game usually and they would still have a substantial window without snares. Feels off having sappers carrying snares but for build diversity it makes some sense.

I'm still kind of puzzled how to trade as OKW with UKF early game. The issue becomes pretty obvious in 2v2. At least OST have HMG42 to keep the horde at bay, but OKW is too punishing.

I'm really enjoying current patch, with an exception of playing against Brits early game. It is pure cancer. Imo the issue is their strength early game, but not necessary mid or lategame, when you have armor and/or elite infantry at your disposal to rectify the situation.

Perhaps bolster should be available at T3 or be more expensive.

Verdict: definitely too strong.
