Dude when you start coh2 for the first time, you see window pop up that is asking you to enter your email and password. Fill that out and go to ur email and activate the link they sent you then restart coh 2 and you will have ur commanders.

of course but when i fill it out the FIRST time it says my email is invalid, although it doesent know my mail

That's weird, worked for me with no problems. Log into your email through msn hotmail or whatever you're using just to make sure your email is in working condition.

I didn't even get asked to provide email.
i'm a beta tester, so i've already done it on the beta client, but i still don't have the commanders on the live version...

I also have not received an email to get the TWO free commanders. Does anyone know what the two free commanders where?
They unlocked the two commanders that I Paid for in the bonus pack, but where are the two FREE commanders for giving my email address out? WTH

did you go in game??? if you didn't get the notification in game you basically create and accoung using your email. whatever email you wnat so long as you can verify it. if it didn't get the popup go to your options and on the botton there is abutton that will activate it and you can fill it out as normal.
then turn off your game and go to your email and verify the email. then restart game and you should have both.
Failure is always an option.

It worked for me on the first try w/ gmail. I wonder if/when we may need to actually know our password.

why it does not work?? At the first time the program told me that they sent me the email, but it still nothing of them in my email.
THe next step was try to use another email from me. But again, it does not work. what can i try to do next step?
