I like Storm doctrine for smaller gamemodes. It doesn't play like the usual commanders with heavy tanks. Instead you can do neat tricks like gettinf mobility kills on enemy armor, or luring an enemy into an ambush trap.

For 3v3/4v4;
If you want a competitive commander, get Lighting War. G43 PGrens, Stuka CAS and Tiger are all really good.
If you want a fun commander, Jaeger Infantry and Spearhead are good commanders as well.

Jaeger armor is free, Jaeger infantry is not.
