Only question I have about it is I cant seem to find good use for turret mode. I get its purpose but it just seems like too much of a hassle for not enough benefit
Unit is really good in regular mode anyway though, so no complaints from me

so sth that costs 230 fuel and 21 pop, over 600 mp, that cant hit anything u call amazing?

Urban Defense was the 3rd most popular doctrine in the tourney and the KV2 has seen a large resurgence since being added to Urban Defense.

You remember any matches where someone got good use of turret mode? Or have any tips on it yourself?
I understand how its supposed to be used but it seems rarely worth the effort, and normal mode has been good enough for me. I believe when they added it to urban defense they nerfed siege mode a tiny bit and buffed its regular stats

I personally hate turret mode. I just attack ground and use it as an IS2/Tiger. Works pretty well and can actually kill a Panther 1v1.
Only case I saw turret mode used was way back a year ago. Some dude on Red Ball Express had an unholy amount of support weapons and the KV2 in turret mode behind them and just sniped if you tried to push. Nobody has used the turret mode since that I remember,

Yeah I feel the same. This has at least a little to do with it, might also explain why you saw it year ago:
-Siege mode reload bonus from 0.5 to 0.75.
-152mm non-sieged reload from 10/12 to 9.
-152mm non-sieged bypasses terrain.
-152mm non-sieged angle scatter from 7.5 to 5
That's from December patch of last year, and it came with a bunch of other buffs as well. Those 4 are the ones that only effected 1 mode, and you can see the pattern. Im pretty sure thats a nerf to the siege mode reload if im reading that correctly

Ah that explains it. I definitely thought the siege mode was OP back then since nothing I did worked. I think JLI didn’t even have the G43 upgrade back then so the time frame fits.

My only like others have said is seige mode is rarely used because it leaves you very vulnerable because of the tear down/set up time and minimal range unless your on a map with a shot blocker (also now only increases your range).
To a lesser extent it's vet bonus are not as good as other heavy tanks.
As a unit itself through, it's fine (attack ground is really good)

Siege MOD received serious nerfs and the ROF is currently about equal. On the Other hand Siege gets better with vet 2 range bonus.
As for OP we know that in your opinion all Soviet units are bad, we don't need to read it in separate treads.
