For a tank as expensive as a Panther, it shouldn't really miss any shots on being stationary, but it does miss pretty often.

I think most of the players have encountered this issue, but below video link shows one of those exact moments when it happendes.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QIN0omrP-sQ&t=2758s

SHould the panther get accuracy buff at vet 1/2/3? Or just the OKW variant gets a 'stationary' accuracy buff at vet 4/5?

I know at 4 or 5 the okw Panther get on the move accuracy buff, but rarely we get a panther to vet4/5.

Its at Vet 5, which is certainly rare

I dont get why the panther gets no accuracy with vet, i think it totally should at vet 2 or 3. For both factions, and just remove the Moving acc. bonus at vet 5

So I agree very much the idea that a stationary panther shouldn't be missing shit. Wonder what it would be like to jump up the accuracy but reduce the moving modifier so it remains the same on the move.

Yea those mov accuracy comes in handy when diving behind enemy lines with Panther, but those days are not any more vaiable cuz of those Allied TDs like Jacksons, fireflys & SUs. THey put an end to the panther real quick.

This is the single biggest issue with the Panther. It's a weird tank destroyer that doesn't have 60 range and is supposed to brawl with its superior health and armor, but it's horrific accuracy makes that incredibly risky if not downright impossible due to the risk of losing a unit that is only 45 fuel cheaper than a Tiger.

You mean making it more accurate on the move too? That I think would be OP and exactly how it was before a 2018 patch that nerfed it to the ground.

Cuz back then, in team games, people would just get 2~3 panthers and dive to victory.

Hence, why wehrm T4 is not very cost-to-value compared to T3 where Ostwinds, p4s and mighty STUGS does a better job. Only reason i go T4 would be for the panzerwerfer or to get the Tiger requirement.

Im a panther activist here, look for my past topic suggestion to make tank good again.

Today panther is too ineffective, Jp4 is bad. Axis late game is bad. Low level players like me, the pros, all thinks T4 is in a bad spot. Luvnest just scuffed-lol at building T4 in his interview.

For Wehr it creates a bad situation since T4 is the faction bread and butter, their comeback mechanics against superior Allies infantry and tank mass.

Panther nerf was concerned for 4v4 games, where 2-3 panthers per person seems indestructible. But imo there is no difference with 4-5 cromwell/t34/sherman blobs. Usf is ultimate troll with the crew popcap cheat.

Panther vet scaling is terrible, while allies 60TD gets even stronger TD with vet. Axis T4 got double whammy with their nerfs plus allies 60TD buff. It is like -1 minus +1, nett -2 nerfs.

Panther used to have iirc 320/110 vet armor, 0.6-0.65 move accuracy. Okw stock panther got seriously gutted. The compensation in "better" AI and cheaper vet dont help. As said, vet bonus of Panther is poor poor poor. Command Panther is a good bye these days.

We should not remove Panther moving accuracy buff. If anything either make T4 cheaper + remove 60TD to 55TD, or give panther better vet bonus. Armor is worthless by the time we build T4 because 60TD, snares, Allies faster ATG. etc

Actually, if you read past the first sentence, the second one say "but reduce the moving modifier so it remains the same on the move"
It wasn't a very long post....

The panther is already the single most accurate Ost vehicle that exists.

I haven't checked the OKW lately but I imagine only the JP4 would beat itm

The Panther already has high base accuracy, that's better than medium tanks and more in line with tank destroyers.

It has 0.06/0.045/0.035 at ranges 0/25/50.

Mediums and heavies have 0.05/0.0375/0.025 at ranges 0/20/40 (0/25/50).

The most comparable tank destroyer, the Jackson, has 0.05/0.045/0.35 at ranges 0/30/60. So the Panther is only slightly behind, which is one of the trade-offs for having a (fast) turret, 960 health, good armor and high mobility.

The only thing it truly lacks is a 20-30% accuracy bonus at vet 3, that a lot of other vehicles get.

The only change the Panther needs is + 0.1 moving accuracy modifier at vet 0 and + 0.15 moving accuracy at vet 3.

Yea I have seen vet 3 Panther missing shots too. That is bad for an expensive tank like Panther, hence why i suggest an vet 3 accuracy buff.

Stationary acc is better and more useful than moving.

If the Panther has the best accuracy among all Axis vehicles then I shudder to think how bad the accuracy of the other vehicles must be. :snfPeter:

Stationary accuracy also rewards for good microing. It would help with a lot of those high tier player brawls where good players try to get those hits off at max range stopping just before panzer is ready to shoot again.

The panther has td like accuracy and penetration with turret and 3x mg, speed of medium tanks, armour plus hp of heavy tanks, heavy crush.

Its expensive because of these reasons. And just because its expensive and ingnoring the other reasons as to why its so expensive its not allowed to mis?

Cant wait what they nerf in response on the panther.

A buff Panthers thread? Seriously?

But I have to agree that a vet3 accuracy buff wouldn't hurt anyone, it's a very expensive tank and vet3 is hard enough to justify it

Perhaps added accuracy with vet would be enough, however I feel, at the price and role the panther is supposed to fill, and since it only has 50range I don't think that increased accuracy while stationary would be a miss.
