but if I was to donate x amount today and that gave me level 10, and I was to donate x a week later would that increase my level?

one question though. it says that 50% of the money goes to coh2.org. why is that?.
dont get me wrong, i am happy to give both to this great site and towards the tournement, but why do you mix the two causes? also why exactly are you raising money for the site?

Here is somebody who did not watch all of last night's cast, where all was explained. ...(You can still watch it on Twitch,BTW)
Essentially, we split the money 50/50, unlike the the Dota prize pool which will give 25% to the players ($17 million), whilst the other 75% (approx $51 million) goes to Valve.

I'd rather like it, however, if OCF took after the AoE 2 community and had a many week (or even month) long tourney with best-of-nine or so.
At least make more brackets best-of-five! Best-of-three just doesn't cut it IMO.

Approx 3% to Paypal.
Half of the remainder goes directly to the prize pool.
The other half goes to coh2.org, which includes people like APF, Seb, Marcus. APF said he was receiving the biggest cut and taking on the largest share of work. There are also small redistributions to people for the work they are doing (Janne was mentioned).

While in theory you could have a 100% voluntary grass-roots tournament, in practice nothing has happened on this scale. It requires initiative, talent, and dedication from many people.
If this is the model that makes things happen then I say we run with it. After 2 days OCF is already looking great, and realistically it actually has the potential to become the biggest event in the history of Company of Heroes.

Will the tournament only feature the current 4 factions or are the Brits involved?
As was indicated in Saturday's cast, provided the British are playable then yes, they will be included. If, however, they emerge with the equivalent of a "Tiger Ace/Soviet Industry" Commander, that commander may have to be reviewed for exclusion. It is simply too early for us to make a final decision.

Thank you - this was my fear
