"There is not much you can do to directly counter his airpower"

Brilliant.

God that anti-inf strafing run.

I think CAS's whole fuels converting to ammunitions is the best selection of against the USF. Pz4 can't effectively counter the USF's MBT and Panther need too high cost(manpower as well as fuel). there is no need to consume the fuel. just converting!

As someone who did a +35 streak without any tanks ever built on that doctrine I suggest you skip the part where you tech T4.

Furthermore: although there is nothing to counter planes, it is pretty simple to counter that commander - you just have to actually act as a team and use the right abilities.

I always found this commander to be extremely satisfying to use because of its novelty. I mean, how cool is it to defeat your opponent in 1v1 with only using infantry? It makes the Germans feel like proper Germans, in my opinion: combined arms, lots of LMGs, air support.

Nice guide.

To add some 1v1 perspective:
It is very potent against usf in 1v1 as early muni transfer lets you build all the mg42s you want to counter riflemen super soldiers and bar spam. Later on you get some pgrens with shreck, usually one squad is enough, and do transition to T3 with stug first and p4 second, you can do without the stug but it's just as much fuel cheaper than p4 as muni transfer so it lets you get 1 more transfer before tanks. And thanks to abilities of the commander stugs really shine! AI strafe can succesfully cover its flanks, AT strafe completely denies jacksons and pgrens keep your flanks safe from shermans an stuarts. In my opinion it is one of the best commanders against usf in 1v1. Sure some others give you heavys and that is an edge vs usf but you have to live long enough to get those and that's really hard without early buffs for ost infantry.

Against soviets it's not that good. AI strafe works much better ofc because of the lack of major but heavies like IS2 are much harder to kill with AT strafe. The only way to go is get T4 but it needs tons of fuel so you have to make sure you get both fuel points for quite some time early on to be able to counter IS2 and win. Ofc strafe abilities and muni upgrades give you enough edge to do it but it's very risky to hope for that.

I think 37mm strafe needs to be nerfed like IL-2 strafe was.

And stuka dive bomb cost way too underpriced. For 750 damage and 15 AoE (strongest ability in a game) it should cost 220+ muni and not less.

Abuse this OP as long as you can, hf.

Nice looking guide.

For those dismissing the doctrine, this is the new Meta in large team games.

Am I the only one as outraged by the existence of a 60muni ie free w/ the ammo transfer, light arty and force retreat device?

Furthermore, I say furwiner's nailed the point vs. USF, a well equipped Wehrmacht force is a real struggle to compete against for a USF commander and this doctrine gives it to a wher commander for free along with some very powerful abilities.

Does anyone have any practical in-game numbers regarding the munitions income? Could this be countered by contesting both muni points early on?

Well, we are committed to getting a guide out for every Commander, so right now I am focused on filing in the gaps. That's more than enough to keep my busy for a while and I regard any Commander for which there already is a Guide as "owned" by whoever wrote I so they have firs refusal on doing any update.

It wasn't unpopular before, which is why there were people clamouring to get it.

Over the next couple of weeks it will be very popular as people who have just got it try it out like they do every new commander

Only after that will we be able to see if there has been a permanent change in the meta and if people are able to adapt.

Right now this is very hard doctrine to play against

Yeah, because a loud sound + 10 seconds to be dropped doesn't give you enough time to react

Nice guide BTW

Yeah, but you write only for OST or okw. It will be cool to see guides for USF or sov commanders.

Partisans was last month

NKVD was also in January

Mech Assault

So far this year we are at 2 Ost and 2 Sov.

At least in part this is demand driven, I was writing Mech Assault before becoming on staff because it's a Commander that sees plenty of questions.

If there is demand for more US content we can probably do it, though as there are fewer commanders in that faction there is inherently less to be done

Usually i listen music when playing. Even if not sound becames loud only in last 4 seconds. 4 Seconds is far not enough.
