Am I the only one as outraged by the existence of a 60muni ie free w/ the ammo transfer, light arty and force retreat device?

Furthermore, I say furwiner's nailed the point vs. USF, a well equipped Wehrmacht force is a real struggle to compete against for a USF commander and this doctrine gives it to a wher commander for free along with some very powerful abilities.

Does anyone have any practical in-game numbers regarding the munitions income? Could this be countered by contesting both muni points early on?

you are definitely not alone mate. there is like 4 active call-for-nerf of this commander on coh2 official forum and i only go to that site to participate in only those four for the most part. and i am calling for 'fix' of this commander like motherf-cker.

the insta pin/gib arty/medium tank is ridiculous and there is no counter except dodging everytime. which is like saying counter to katusha is dodging.

supposed drawback of this commander, no tanks if you transfer too much resources, is as good as non existent in 2v2+. one okw panther makes 3 t34/sherman think twice before being bold.

contest the muni early on all you want but once insta pin comes, all coordinated strikes will be halted in a click of a button. just be better than your opponent. that's the counter.

Funny how all the talk in WFA about "US air superiority" and the best OH commander to counter them is this.

USF AA HT is EXCELLENT at shooting down Ost planes. They drop like flies.

The Sov quad is half decent, but both of them are rarely if ever used to their AA role.

IMO all the calls for CAS to be nerfed are unwarranted. It's only really viable in team games, and it's a welcome change from heavy call-in tank commanders.

Anyone who thinks the AT strafe is OP needs to play a few games using CAS - they will soon realise just how small the area, and how easily avoided the AT strafe is. THE AA strafe is also not really a big problem. All it really does is punishes blobbing, and it only pins for a short time, no real damage to speak of. Easily avoided with micro.

a person with 10hrs in this game can use plane abilities just as well as a person who play this game for 1000+hrs. and this commander is full of those and blah blah blah.

I would explain more which will probably bore your eyes off, but I've seen enough. It looks like most of the community think this commander is ok. even in 2v2+ which I still don't get.

so i started using the commander since like when it first came out because before i did not use it. i guess it is fun cheeseing the battlefield by spamming planes.

My thoughts of 25/2 remain more or less the same.

Over the next couple of weeks it will be very popular as people who have just got it try it out like they do every new commander

Only after that will we be able to see if there has been a permanent change in the meta and if people are able to adapt.

Right now this is very hard doctrine to play against

It has however also done much to kill off the B4, which now doesn't get seen very much

Not seeing any reason to change this under the new patch, but I shall keep the matter under review. Changes to Shrek accuracy may make relying on PGrens less viable

There are/were two ways to get this Commander:

1) It's available as a WarSpoil

2) Around Valentines day this year and last year there is a "Make War Not Love" competition between COH2 and Rome: Total War. Both times COH2 has won, and this has been part of the package released in consequence.

I have no idea if they will do that again, but I would not rule it out. However right now you can only get it from warspoils

Updated with my thoughts on the new patch

I doubt this will affect this Commander that much but I shall keep the matter under review

That is a darn shame since counterattack has mediocre KV-1 and now the B-4 has more scatter, no precision strike (wise to remove I think) and is easily 1 shotted by planes. You can't plant it in the base to avoid off map strikes and hope to have any good fortune with hitting tanks/massed infantry due to scatter at long range. It is bad design to have an on map arty piece get wiped by a simple munitions expenditure unless A. plane dropping bombs can be shot down before it gets to arty by AA units B. it only clears the crew or severely weakens crew and removes say 70% of the gun health so the SU player has to spend time and resources to get it back up and running at full health lest he lose it to any unit that gets in range. I'm hopeful that with the supposed KV-1 upcoming buff they look at B-4 and do something to make it more viable also.
