In addition ost mortar doesn't require specific tech (19/20 you are building t1), is supported by the best mg in the game rather than the worst, has a decent core infantry squad that doesn't require another tech building to get etc etc. Additionally suggesting "asymmetric balance" as a reason to nerf Soviet mortar with no intention of applying that to cons maxim etc is simply wrong (and biased). Thread: Preformance issue, need your help!31 Mar 2019, 22:39 PM To "fix" the fps issue in the main menu, you can rename the video files in \Steam\SteamApps\common\Company of Heroes 2\CoH2\Movies or just rename the whole folder. I only renamed the ones used in the menu / lobby, so campaign ones still work. This will boost fps, but it still wont be amazing. Stops it feeling laggy though. Note: if you verify the game files, it will undo the above. Regarding game fps, not a lot that can be done really. Is your CPU overclocked at all? In: Hardware and Tech

Thread: Wehr Mortar15 Mar 2019, 21:44 PM Ost mortar is the best in the game all things considered (maybe only 2nd to 120mm thanks to its range, but that has many downsides). An Ost mortar will frequently beat a soviet mortar even with flares up and synergises perfectly with the faction (Strong MG, typically long range infantry). USF mortar is fairly comparable to the Ost, though I believe it has less range and isn't backed by as good of an MG (which also comes later) Disclaimer: I'm fully aware certain people will chime in with some semi relevant stats to tell me how wrong I am but I actually play the game instead of living in some deluded world where everything is looked at in isolation when it suits them...
