There is enough space to make both, hold-fore and vehicle priority. Both are useful in different situations.
Many times OKW player is using truck just to uncover my AT Gun or I can't make a trap because it will shoot instantly at the end of the range. Hold fire button would add more depth.
Not to mention Jacksons and AT guns shooting infantry with turned on vehicle priority...
Better priority as well. My AA truck was chasing almost dead Puma. 1 shot and its gone. Suddenly, behind the trees, raketen showed up. Nothing special BUT my AA truck immediately has switched target for raketen what causes:
1. Shot from Puma which should be dead.
2. 2 Shots from raketen because I wanted to finish that Puma, so I click to attack it again, so raketen has a time to shoot second time but that's not the point.
3. Dead AA truck.
While it should be different. If Im chasing unit, I clicked to attack it, nothing should force my unit to switch target. I should finish that Puma (I would not take a shot from it), take a shot from raketen and then retreat. Simple, right? There should something over priority, for example, when I order to attack excatly that unit, it should be somehow combined and be over priority.
Situations when Im chasing unit to finish it but suddenly my unit is switching to other target should not take a place. |

I'm all for a serious nerf to canister shot.
However
I think it's worth talking about how the Puma has basically made all allied light tanks worthless since its inception. It's not that allied light tanks aren't dangerous, it's that the Puma is simply able to show up and completely out perform the M5 and T-70 in an engagement.
How many times have we seen either of those tanks recently?
T70? Really? T70 is amazing to put pressure on. Sometimes it's nail in the coffin.
Keep it alive, turn on recon mode, call-in ISU and the party begins!
Stuart? It should has better survivability but it's very good tank vs both, OKW and OST.
Although you need to babysit it.

Allies could pull their weight late game in CoH1. They had the means to do so, even if it got harder as trickery no longer worked that late in the game.
In CoH2, the better support options, the better infantry and the better tanks are all stacked at Axis, with few, debatable Allied advantages that are temporary. Riflemen may be good against Volksgrenadiers, but how long does that last?

2v2 is impossible to balance, because germans will always have the advantage, they had the advantage in coh1, and the advantage in coh2. because of one simle faction design: germans are stronger late game
2v2 = more units, more points
more units + more points = longer games
longer games = more oppetunities for aixs to get out heavy tanks
massed heavy tanks = uncounterable for allies
it's really simple. play 1v1.
Well, in 1v1 its same thing. You can get amazing map control as USF, few shermans etc but in the end you will win by VPs losing almost all army or OKW guy will make come back. Just watch Sage vs Paul. I think 30vps more and Paul would won.
For me it's bad design if one faction needs to win early game because in late game you will be rekt. |
KV1 is worse tank than T34/76.
Yes, it can bounce paks, pzfaust, schrecks.
Yes, it can more hp BUT
it's not spammable, you can't circle King Tiger, you cant reverse in a second. This is what makes KV1 worse than T34. |
Well with that mindset the entire balance subforum shouldn't exist. Or we could remove the forums alltogether and make it an announcement board. Streams could use their own chat too.
There is a difference between talking about effiency of unit, possible swaping, making unit stronger and redesigning whole faction. Its not gonna happen. |
