Okw has nothing serious to deal with allied medium armor by the time it arrives on the battlefield, except Puma. Nerfing it will create a gap that would be covered by what? I don't feel nerfing Puma is a good idea. If you think it's overperforming I would prefer to be removed and replaced with a PZIV J - except doctrinal (and very rare call-in) OKW has NO medium tank whatsoever. Or you can nerf Puma's damage but you need then to increase its survivability somehow. The Jagpanzer4 is a tank that exists. The JP4 does incredible work vs medium tanks and thanks to an abundance of munitions for shrecks and mines it is extremely difficult to properly flank. In: COH2 Balance

Thread: OKW Puma21 Aug 2014, 08:27 AM I would like to see it perform more along the lines of a light vehicle hunter myself. Reduce the penetration of the main gun by 20-40 at all ranges and drop the health to 320 like most light tanks. It would still be effective vs everything up to a Stuart thanks to superior range/gun damage/penetration/mobility but would struggle vs true medium tanks. In: COH2 Balance

It is hard to learn parameters of a game with that kind of mechanics. If someone gets into following a traditional sport (IE football -soccer-), and if rules are somewhat random, and 2 identical actions lead to 2 different results (goal is scored, goal is not valid), they might just question whether the sport in question is serious or not. RNG makes every game entertaining for the exact reason you listed. Sometimes a given squad will win the engagement and sometimes it won't. This adds suspense as the outcome isn't always forgone and unpredictable outcomes can often have a dramatic impact on the momentum of the game. To use football as an example. A corner kick can sometimes result in a header and goal or sometimes not. The rules that create a corner kick are consistent but the results can vary widely. The suspense of not knowing what is going to happen is what makes the sport entertaining. I would compare this to throwing a grenade in CoH2. Sometimes the grenade will wipe a squad but sometimes it will do next to no damage. As long as using the grenade ability always throws a grenade the rules are constant and only suspense of RNG remains. In: Lobby

OKW income in team games isn't so much the issue as overall income for all factions is. Team games would be a lot more enjoyable if we didn't see heavy tanks until the 30 or 40 minute mark instead of the 20 minute mark they tend to appear at now. In: COH2 Gameplay

Thread: Please give the Flak HT some love18 Aug 2014, 00:10 AM Jump back to quoted post17 Aug 2014, 18:46 PMwooof how does having front armor almost equal to the US ht rear armor make it durable? the only hts its actually more durable than are the mortar hts. the 251 and infrared ht have the same durability but the infrared obviously isnt a combat unit and the 251 isnt either at this point. both the US and soviet hts are much more resistant to small arms. The reason I compare the front armor of the OKW HT to the rear armor of the American HT is because the American HT will usually have it's rear armor facing the opponent due to the way the gun works. So typically the OKW HT is going to have 1 more armor than the American HT when taking small arms fire. The point I was making was that it has similar durability to the American HT. The difference between the two isn't their ability to mitigate damage but the American HT's ability to run away from it. In: COH2 Gameplay

It has the same health as the American HT and actually 1 more frontal armor than the American HT has rear armor. A little extra armor might help but the real killer is the tear down time. If that was reduced a bit then I think the OKW HT would be in a good spot survivability wise. In: COH2 Gameplay
