Just an idea for a new unit, regarding the pios squad, should there ever be a commander revamp that could fit into a doc like Scavenge |
But at the same time they're a superb unit, and OKW's faction design in general can be summed as high risk high reward |
Kind of have to agree with sentiments expressed. Sturmpios mid to early game are already pretty busy as it is having to make use of them for sweeping, repairing, building and as a combat unit meaning that if a player mines rather aggressively it can oft feel as though you need two sweeper squads though that's seldom a logical choice. |
Tbh, I'd take a nerf to the Panthers armor or HP in turn for better anti inf capabilities given its supposed to perform as a premium medium. Maybe make it similar to CoH1's Panther that excelled at killing individual models with its main gun but little AoE damage |
No, they're in a very good place right now. If you think they're squishy, try using OST Pios |
Bath posts are very informative. Just to enumerate the reasons that make it lethal: close range aoe value is relatively high; fast setup/tear down/time to fire, good scatter, good range. Am I missing something?
It has a flare |
Do me a favor and see how long it takes a Panther fully vetted with MG to kill a Zis. And while you're at it, why don't you guys (Katitof and Sumi) provide some replays of a single Panther countering an ISU rather than just heresay and "I watched it in a cast" provided your opponent is of a worthwhile skill level |
No one builds mortars in 1v1 - 2v2 competitive play, even the “superior” Wher version.
I think mortars should need more micro, but also deal more damage.
My proposal for accomplishing these changes would be by by nerfing autofire damage and range, and by buffing barrage rate of fire
I also think the mortar and LeiG should be switched in OKW and Wher’s loadout
The LeiG is better than the mortar (which would fit Ost’s theme) and the LeiG was used most early war while mortars were used more late war.
An interesting notion as even the more potent mortars like the 120 mm are basically RNG cannons which at least might do some health damage and at best obliterate a squad. I think the inclusion of flares for every factions mortars with vet (given that it's increased in Muni cost) would go a long way in increasing their potency as I feel thats often the primary reason players in 2s get them |
ISU is one of the worst vehicles in the game right now, It is only mild effective if you stand in front of it doing nothing, and with the high price and pop it's actually a detriment for you.
Not to mention ISU is completely vulnerable to pretty much everything and needs a LOT of support to operate.
Show me ONE game where ISU actually made a big impact in recent times, you are not gonna find it, the 14cp requirement means that by the time it hits the field the game is already won or lost.
I would say the vehicle actually needs some sort of rebalance to be viable.
Your contribution to this balance discussion will not be forgotten |
My old schooler observation was that you were a complete prick in 2v2 and seeing your name pop up on my team was enough to alt-f4. You did it when you were on the other team and often times your name popping up ruined what little time I had to play at night.
That being said you did seem like a decent player but the mini map blips and calling people noobs and raging or going afk was pretty bullshit.
going afk, go win the war teammate |
