To your point:
I don't see a huge issue. The camo units are pretty balanced at the moment. There's not much reason to change that mechanic.
Snipers are a topic for themselves, quite a few would like to get rid of them completely.
The only problem with camo that I see are late stage team games, where yellow cover is basically everywhere due to arty.

Sure. Snipers scale crazy with experience. Why cant my vet 3 infantry units scale to deal with them. Like for example, vet 3/5 infantry units takes two shots to kill. Pretty crazy. You try and pressure them they stay out of range but within vision disappearing going back to the safety of a supression wall. Its not fun. Snipers die usually by RNG or if they make a mistake, no outplay here.
One of the biggest selling points of COH was the dynamic cover. And snipers just ruin that completely. But thats off topic. What about mp40 stormtroops appearing in your face with thompson airbourne abilities like 'tactical advance' or pgrens with bundled grenades on hold fire running down a light cover trench at full speed. Sure, that's just fine right, Not cheesy atall and fun dynamic gameplay we all strive for. ok. |
@Stug Life Err yes they can buddy its called ambush training. As an example for you as you can use it with Jager infantry doctrine.

Storm troopers running at full speed with damage amp abilities, and hold fire abilities with already high damage guns like mp40's.
Panzergrenadiers with double Panzershreck sniping your LV's, running up to your stuff in stealth throwing bundle grenades, even when I played in 2006/7 on coh vanilla, yeah they could stealth anywhere but atleast their run speed was half.
Same deal with commandos.
Snipers be it soviet, wehrmacht or brit, running up self spotting shooting your sh!t and weaving back into cover magically disappearing in plane sight running away at full speed while being untargetable.
I mean who thought this was a good idea?
I have not even played for 8 or so months, but after coming back this game is even more of a mess now than it was then.

Yes, I pretty much stopped playing 2 months ago. Its 222's at 4 mins. Causing you to blob everything together. Fast Luch's, fast T70's etc.
The thing I've enjoyed the most since I first player COH around 10 years ago, was the infantry fighting and dynamic cover. You get around 4-6 mins of that before all chaos comes down. Boring. |
I just tested Command tank vs 2 Rifles with Zooks . One Rifle squad was in yellow other one in green cover . Each squad lost one man and the CT got destroyed
Congratulations, but i'm certain in a situation where the ost player was good, he would not just sit the command tank there, he would bleed your zook sections fall back and repair while outranging snares. So your test does not prove anything.
Also, this thread is not about the strength of the command tank. The comand tank is fine. This thread is about the timing when the command tank arrives, and the part where you have to spend no resourses on tech to get it. |

Not sure how relevant that is as elite troops was a very common pick and has now had stun grenades changed from small nuclear warheads to ....stun grenades. And the ace change.

Yes bazooks can be added but against mediums they are more in support to prevent over extends from enemy tanks on your tanks. The only time they can be very reliable is if you get a snare and even then bleed will be high. |

And if you are struggling with the MDD (especially Pumas) I recommend you getting TDs or more than one medium tank . Pumas are only good against mediums if they have a number advantage
Im not talking about late game tanks like is2, avre, late game tanks are usually between 12 - 15 cp's, so having later tech is usually available to you. But in the case of 9 CP command tank which is basically serving the same role as a regular p4 infantry killer its very hard to deal with.
Think for example, you go USF, get an LT out, fuel points have been contested for the majority of the first 15 mins, you barely get a major out. A command tank comes out, you have no access to AT guns outside of airbourne, and no where near enough fuel for a basic sherman. Basically the 120 fuel you spend on tech IE, Major. They spend on a command tank, so it messes the timings up because the wehr player has no need to invest the fuel and mp into t2 and the t2 building that would usually make p4's. |
In terms of how complete a faction is, as in how many tools/units it has available to them and how accessible they are through resource and tech line I would say it goes Wehrmacht, Soviets, Brits, Okw, USF.

Well, because okw start with sturmpioneers, and usf start with Rear echelons. Im pretty sure you know which is the better unit there. |
