Thread: How do you feel about Grenspam since April 24th patch?1 May 2014, 18:55 PM Grens upgrade to LMG's and start with panzerfausts, in which they get rifle grenades once the player researches t2. They have enough basic gear to keep their place as effective mainline infantry. Conscripts fight a bit better, so grenadiers are still better at range, but conscripts can push them back if they get close. In: COH2 Balance

I'm comparing the effects of things that exist in the game, the tanks are paper, but the infantry is steel. They (infantry) did not panic with the artillery train (the most boom at). The tank running at 1mm of water: jams, go on a fence and breaks (blow engine or current). AT and shereks storm in the front armor, explodes the rear engine! Uhuhu! The leading infantry taking mg shots, mortar in the head, bombs of AT, tanks, or whatever, and the guys are still "good". The retry button always work, the infantry have a alien legs, so why the tank always have current that melts? Hehehe! No talking about infantry vs tank in fire (daam!!!), but in the "special effects". What did i just read? None of this even exists! People are currently complaining that infantry die way too fast to armor, and you are saying vice versa? In: COH2 Balance
Thread: My Opinion on Successes and Failures this patch1 May 2014, 03:02 AM I think ISU-152 scatter needs a big INCREASE. Bigger scatter means bigger chance to miss. I find it strange that an ISU-152 can accurately one shot a squad through bushes 100m away. It could one-shot under 30 range, but beyond that, it shouldn't. That extra 70 range should only be for taking out tanks. Sure it could hit a squad from far away, but it should by no means destroy it on a basis of nearly every shot. To sum it up: bad accuracy at hitting infantry, accuracy mainly used for targetting tanks and buildings. And in theory, it will drastically reduce one-shot instances from ridiculous range. Infantry are not really meant to take out tanks, aside from ATG, conscripts/grens who have little AT support, sometimes guards, and then panzerschreck squads. Railway artillery is meant to break upon entrenched positions or harrass your opponent's base. In: COH2 Balance

Also, for 170 fuel it should be really fucking good. If any changes were needed at all, it should've been a cost increase or a unit nerf, but like always another classic knee jerk overreaction patch change. And it was non-doctrinal for such a counter against heavy tanks... Yeah, no. Soviet stock tanks had no chance against the panther, especially when it can zoom around with blitz and demolish everything, and then safely blitz back. In: COH2 Gameplay

Apparently, soviets are not supposed to have versatility, so none of those things will ever happen. However, soviet combined arms is much more effective. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Two new free Commanders today! 30 Apr 2014, 07:01 AM They are amazing as they are. They have 3 ppsh's, so they are really powerful AI guards. They have no ptrs, btw, misleading description. Besides, T4 is a good tier to combine with this commander, so you can get by with the AT (as well as the shermans effective tank fighting capabilities) and su-76 is rather viable now. I call it the su-85 junior which can also demolish infantry. Lend lease as it is is a beautiful commander. In: COH2 Gameplay

What we are saying is that reliably killing 3 models and sometimes killing 4 models is too much, especially for the cost. I usually lose one squad, then i get minesweepers, then the problem never happens again and i unearth 200 munitions worth of mines for 45 munitions. I usually just shoot the mines when i detect them, though. Is it really that much of a chore? In: COH2 Balance
