You are actually correct Retaliation. Vetlolcake plagiarized a balance post by C0ffeebeanz on the official forums then inserted his own opinions on top of it. You can find C0ffeebeanz post here.
Try to spot all the differences!
Thanks for giving credit to the proper owner. C0ffeebeanz's post isnt biased whatsoever, and has only simple balance changes for real controversial things. |
Everytime they release a patch they dont even bother testing it. What kind of service is that? All they do is keep milking with DLCs and make money. They dont care.
And everytime there is something so fucking broken from soviet. Maxim, Shocks, ISU, Katy.
WHY IS IT ALWAYS SOVIET!!! GIVE OSTHEER SOME OP STUFF FOR ONCE!!!!
Relic is a bunch of retards with an IQ of a 3-year old WHO HATES GERMAN. period.
Someone wasnt here for march deployment, Elite Troops release, and everything prior.
I do think it is over the top, but i hope its remains more useful than it was before. That wasnt rocket artillery. That was an infantry TICKLER. |
-The KV-1 performs as if it should be a stock unit. IS-2 surely shouldnt be stock, but perhaps we could see it in more commanders (i mean, look at how many commanders the Tiger is in).
-A simple fix that would help the situation would be to flip the t-70 and the su-76m.
-I am for improving the scalability of soviet infantry (specifically, controversy around penals).
-IF a t34/85 upgrade was considered, i like a suggestion i heard to simply upgrade the turret and gun of the t34/76 to a t34/85 - in which the callin variant would still have more armor and health. There would need to be a telltale difference between the two, though. However, i am only for my two above points and the rest are as whims.
-The two listed suggestions are rather radical, and i would think it would be better to do small revisions before going all in. Soviet infantry scalability and the lackings and uselessness in T3-T4 are the big problems, and simple changes shouldnt break the game. Reducing the reliability of the maxim by providing a reliable support would be a success for both the player and his enemy.
-Also, the m3 scout car is very good against OKW early game.
-And, of course, callins being tied to teching would force every player of every faction to tech properly before being able to call in units. |
Someone made an excellent point about doctrine tanks.
I feel like both Soviets and Wehr (and Americans with the easy 8) tend to favour using doctrine tanks and not bother with the necessary tech structures. IMO they should require the tech structures for these call ins to be used.
I liked it better when doctrine units replaced existing units and had to be produced...
^^^ Callins being tied to teching is a very simple, yet effective solution in making sure that players cant skip tech in order to get the best tanks. So yes, im hoping Relic is considering this solution instead of screwing up call in units individually. You tech all the way to t4 - then you deserve to call in heavy tanks.
Ostheer t4 price being improved as well so t4 isnt suicide.
(And the CP and unit type being tied to the required tech; ie, a light vehicle call in requires a tier with light vehicles to be acquired and so on) |
Yep.I'll take that.Just add same accuracy as panther to the above. And then watch the whine.
When E8 has to flee from a shreck squad or at gun and misses randomly then allied players will get a taste of what it feels like.
The day the easy eight becomes non doctrinal.
The Elite Riflemen Company week is now over. |
I just played a game where several panzerschreck rockets, a panzerfaust, a pak 40, and a stolen m36 all had successful penetrating shots vs an IS-2's frontal armor and destroyed it in 15 seconds. Its all RNG. |
wouldnt sandbags also be spammable and used to blockade paths? If you retreat a squad it wont hop over the bag on retreat. It may go a path you may not desire.
Volks' sandbags take a decent amount of time to build, but still crumble easily. I cant imagine being allowed the time and comfort to use sandbags offensively and block paths.
You can use sandbags to set up a defensive point to your liking, but the enemy will always retreat the same way they came. |
I killed two 251's in a row one game and got myself two decent halftracks as USF.
Legit, he sent one, and it was left behind for me to take. Then he sends his second, and i was able to capture that, too.

relic should change it to a m5 with a 50. Cal on top. At the moment the m3 is a waist of fuel and mp and come out way to late to make any real impact. M5 would be more appropriate for the cost and timing. What does the soviet m5 cost?
30 fuel, 270 mp.
The coh2stats site says the m3 halftrack alone is only supposed to cost 25 fuel, but the call in assault group costs 35 fuel... |
You didnt look at stats at all and complained about what you saw, not what is.
Its how you use a unit, and how you support it.
Come back once you know how units actually work.
T34/76 is a joke against other armor, and the t34/85 arrives with its counter already on the field, unless the enemy has no idea what he is doing.
I really REALLY hate when people exaggerate. "MASSIVE" health pool means it takes one more shot to kill than a t34/76, and at WORST, a panzer IV has a 0.625 chance of penetrating the t34/85 front. Stats, man. |
