There is no problem with buffing molotovs... Have you played the game before the last patch? Molotovs were useful then and nobody complained about it. Molotovs were not OP before the global flame-crit nerf, but were completely made useless because of it.
I suggest giving the molotovs 25~30 impact damage, this will punish players for not dodging them and will kill models quicker if they stand in the flames.
So what you're saying is a Molotov needs to kill half a squad otherwise they're useless? Sometimes grenades don't even get a single kill, why isn't anyone saying grenades are useless? |
The problem with buffing Molotovs is Soviets don't have as many things to spend muni on compared to other factions, so Molotovs are easy for them to spam, which will be a problem if Molotovs are more powerful since Ost mainly have four man squads. Molotovs are an investment that can pay off if they're used well, since they can clear houses and force mg to change positions.

Your support gun did well, when it was de-crewed it had nearly twice the kills compared to your other units.
You may have broken USF line If you had used the howitzer barrage then attacked straight after with the p4 and infantry. |

the only fix, as stated by iovan: to make the quad upgrade only available once you hit t4
Personally, I don't even like that you have to buy Soviet T3 in order to get T4, so I definitely don't like the Idea of needing T4 to upgrade a t3 unit (IMO it makes the upgrading system a bit more convoluted than it needs to be).
Just reduce accuracy when firing on the move or reduce damage and I think it would be better balanced. |
MG spam was a bad choice by your opponent with the current M5 meta, especially without building an early T2. |
I don't like the idea of needing T4 to upgrade the M5.
If the M5 is OP, increase it's fuel cost, or require it to gain vet before upgrading. |
Not entirely sure what context the word "meta" us being used in...or what it means, but you sound like you know what you're talking about. Lol.
I'm pretty sure "meta game" means the most commonly used strategy/build order by players with faction. |
RNG is amazing feature. No doubt about it. If it was pure math it would be boring. Bouncing shells are fine until one point. If you have almost dead unit, you must have options to chance it and finish. Not all faction can do that.
Mortar with line of code that says it must hit something with every third shells - boring. That's why some kined of RNG is needed.
Plane crashes are fine. 1-2 per game. Chances to hit you? Very low but in you are playing agasit 2 OST with CAS and you have AA unit which in fact is helping your opponents - making every plane, after strafe, kamikaze is just horrbile. It leads to 20-30 crashes per game and 80% of them are on your side.
There is no consent for 10-30 crashes per game. Once I had 4v4 where I lost more units due to plane crashes than to my enemy.
(I havent noticed plane crashes for the first 1100h, until everyone starts to spam CAS so I would say it's CAS problem not the plane itself).
+1 totally agree
Having only pure math in the game wouldn't be as interesting IMO, although the percentages that RNG follows need to be carefully balanced.
Regarding planes crashing on the map, I agree it'd be better if they didn't wipe units out because it can unfairly backfire on players that build AA as a counter. |
I'm not a pro but I'll give you my opinions after watching the game.
I think you need to try and cap as many territory points as you can, especially the ones on your side of the map, there were some points on your side of the map that remained uncapped for what seemed like the majority of the game. You need to cap those points to upgrade grens to lmgs asap.
Building the scout car probably wasn't a good idea because the soviets already had a t76 out and you were low on infantry, so more grens and a pak would have been the better option IMO.
also, a good place to set up your mgs on this map would have been covering the munitions point closest to your base, the soviets were attacking this repeatedly, it has open fields and only one flank, you can then support it with another mg and grens.
