Both have all right to win these engagements. Grens were always meant to lose vs rifles, the only difference is how badly should they lose based on distance, its how it always was. Grens will never be self reliant infantry that beats opposing infantry, because they were never balanced that was in context of their faction. Just because you chose to not make the best sniper, HMG or earliest reinforcement HT does not mean they suddenly don't exist and shouldn't be taken into account when balancing a unit. And everything I have said was in context of volks already having mp40s, because mp40s have not changed anything about their relevance, you still killed them for zombie grens. Do you understand what force multiplier even means? Do you? Obers aren't supposed to replace volks, but assist them, providing what they lack, firepower. In: COH2 Balance

It didnt work back then. By the time you get obers you liklely invested minutes worth in mp xp and ammo in them. At the moment the ostheer grens will do a better job And yet, dynamics between volks getting obsolete and replaced by grens was unchanged wehr design in coh1. People used the same argument, because it was reality. Couple of people didn't wanted to accept the reality, but that didn't changed reality, they were just that much more salty on the long run. And we have pretty much the exact same thing here with volks and obers, except now obers don't make volks completely obsolete, but serve as force multiplier that faction is supposed to relay on in infantry combat. If you want volks to scale like other mainlines, yeet obers into a doctrine, because they would have no place nor right to remain stock anymore. In: COH2 Balance

Like it was nerfed last patch you mean? Get up to date. even as ost, fighting late games 2v2 sov is tough. sov are super capable to dig in and hold out the VP. That's literally the whole purpose of 7th man squad, to be able to outlast infantry and be good in cover. the new commander patch is going to give cons 4 ppsh! So? 3 ppsh is clearly lacking, we were suggesting giving them grenade, they got 4th back. In: COH2 Balance

So do osttruppen and they still lose to most units. You do realize that units are balanced as a whole unit and not individual model vs individual model? And that 6 men is the reason WHY they have high RA and low DPS? Volks also used to have that design in comparison to grens, but then they were made into better grens. In: COH2 Balance

Of the top of my head, its sth like 10-15% accuracy and -10% rec acc per crate, something like that, last between 30 and 60 seconds. Healing in combat was removed, but stat buffs remained untouched.
