Problem is by the time you get an infrared truck and a couple of field guns, the soviets and USF will already have proper tanks and more infantry.

its acceleration is actually slightly higher (not sure what numbers you guys are looking at). its to speed is barely lower. as i said before, its front armor is insignificantly less.
but its damage and pen is much higher than that of the m3. it has 40 range. its high rear armor means getting behind it is barely rewarding, so people can just drive it into okw squads without fear.
not to mention theres an exploit for it in team games with soviets. not going to explain that further.
Abandoning vehicle and giving it to your teammate is hardly an exploit as even devs said its encouraged mechanic.
If you want to be concerned with anything, try dodge truck with airborne pathfinders inside for mobile "sniper" unit. |
Not necessarily, Cataclaw has won games using only M3's and Combat Engineers, or Conscripts and T-34/85's. I know, it's Cataclaw, but it does disprove your statement that spam-play doesn't work on the high level.
Against much lower players.
I've yet to see him putt just 2 units against pros. Hell, Cruzz handed his butt back to him on a silver plate for trying to spam M3s more then once. |
It would ofc need them to have their weapon slots reduced to one as squad with over 40 dps at max range is last thing I want to see in game for either side. |
So we've found a solution.
Reduce their accuracy and accuracy of MG34 by 50%, give them accuracy buff akin to partisan accuracy penalty and we'll have squad effective with infantry weapons while its weapons will be normal for all others.

Whut? Why would the NKVD commander drop? It's one of the 5 starting commanders for soviets.

I have got only 1 commander so far: The scavenger doctrine.
Its not, NKVD was a level unlock, therefore can drop just as any other level unlock commander. |
And I guess that you are 100% positive that obers don't have accuracy bonus akin to partisans penalty.
Because partisans weapons suddenly have 100% more DPS when wielded by anything other then partisans. |

Guards without AT Rifles can be converted to an AI role instead, which they play better than Conscripts or Penals. Irregulars only have normal MG's and are one of the cheapest infantry units in the game. I never lost an MG on Para's but I assume they can just upgrade to a new one. Obersoldaten without an MG 34 are just not Obersoldaten anymore. Contrary, any unit that does pick it up are granted the magical power of death. Even Rear Echelon with an Ober MG 34 will beat Grenadiers with an MG 42.
I don't think RNG should dictate whether your Obersoldaten retain their ability to fight, or worse, whether your opponent essentially life-steals their ability to fight.
Its completely irrelevant.
Its still a weapon the squads spawn with, can loose and have no way of retaining. |
