In case you have missed the memo for the last 10 or so pages, the goal is to help cons scale in any way into late game unless you love seeing sniper and maxim spams until the end of times.
Anything will go, from weapon upgrade, to better vet scaling/late tier upgrades/oorah additional effects at vet3, basically anything that isn't doctrinal. |
Of all the the bugs and map changes, and problematic factions designs; this really ranks low. Now you know how frustrating it is to fight Maxim spam, M3 flame car, WC51 jeep, or Bar Rifles with Volks for several minutes until you can get a building and some type of soft counter for it up. I don't even see many players on their streams use this tactic that often due to the risk of losing their truck. Maybe players just need to move to another part of the map and cap there if they see the OKW truck.
You should watch Jesulin then, truck pushing(and before driving over) is his trademark move.
Also, maxims, M3s with flame CEs, Dodge, Bar rifles cost resources. SWs trucks don't and you can be legally map hacked to see which tier you build as soviets. |

Loosing game maybe not, but definitely lost otherwise 100% won engagements as well as made opponents loose theirs without losses of my own.
The truck is essentially a free unit that got as much impact in early game as kubel, which is quite significant for the first 1-3 engagements. |
The_Courier: As I said, a weapon upgrade option, no matter how it compares to LMG, would still necessitate adding native ability equivalents to Grens in compensation.

Ninja: If Vet stats are changed, it would mean vanilla V2-3 Cons would outright beat vanilla V2-3 Grens, and also be very effective vs Support Teams.
I dont think touching the vet stats is a good approach to this.

5x20 is not less then 3x90.
6 men squads are balanced by incomparably better dps of german squads, its already factored in the balance, so it is no argument at all.
Also, there is no such thing as vanila vet3 grens, LMG is too effective not to have it, so its not an argument as well.
Just admit already that you give no shit about buffing cons so they are actually useful after 8 minute and leave the thread instead of zealously defend your grenadiers right to walk over them in any circumstances. |

Last time I've checked there was more then raw weapon upgrade to make the conscripts scale better, also last time I've checked stats DP-28 was still only half as good as LMG and still, it wouldn't have to be LMG if it was weapon upgrade route. |

If Cons have a native weapon upgrade option, like Grens do with LMG, then it would pretty directly necessitate Grens to also have 2 native abilities to match Oorah and Merge.
When T34 got damage buffs from initial 80 damage to current 160 I don't remind myself seeing P4s getting laser turrets. If you buff underpowered unit, you don't overbuff in rewturn the unit it fights against, leading to a step one, where the first unit is still underpowered. Its a simple concept, but take your time and let it sink. |
It would do absolutely horrible harm actually.
Obersoldaten, fallshirmjeagers and JLI are the reasons why.
You could get them back into fight without any disadvantage at all, which can't be said about soviet units where only guards really benefit from it and they still have their own problems of being weapon piniatas.
Plus there is already forward reinforcment method for OKW in the way of medic truck. |
