Mr. blobberino after my 3rd successful forced retreat on him kept his officer in the back and since I had tank hunters doctrine at the time there was not much I could do against all the pfusiliers and shreckvolks. Still lose the game as you can't really stop that blob without doctrinal assistance, but at least I one shot his KT with T34/76. Driving on ice made him one King Submarine. Otherwise, good luck...also isn't unlocked until 2cp and costs 66% that of the FHQ. You need to pay 66% of what opponent paid to hardcounter him and you think that is a problem? Also what is wrong again with flexible commander choices so you are prepared for opponent instead of brainlessly going grenspam with paks into tigers? In: COH2 Gameplay

Combine that with an Offizer and you will be getting forced retreated every five minutes. Every time an OKW player thinks it's a smart idea to blob up with one I just force retreat him over and over again. Ever tried to keep the officer at back? You know, like all the skilled officer users that actually know how to play the game do? Its not like, I don't know, he needs to actually kill for amazing vet or something. In: COH2 Balance

As long as the effects of any officer type of unit will affect infantry in whatever way, there will be blobbing. In: COH2 Gameplay

IS-2 and tiger don't fight each other exclusively with no support, you need to take into account what they shoot at and what is behind them. Balance between them boils down to IS being a damage sponge and Tiger being firepower powerhouse. In: COH2 Balance

Volksgrenadiers didn't use a lot of automatic weapons IRL and they don't necessarily have to have automatic weapons ingame. A damage buff to their Kars seems like the only way since they can't use StGs or G43s. It's also the best choice gmeplay-wise. Increasing their rifle damage to 14 won't change their intended role as defensive/meatshield units. They'd be slightly more lethal. Comparable to vanilla Grens. They'd overperform grens. They are not meant to. They are supposed to be middle ground between cons and grens, slightly worse then both, which they are now. Volks need nothing and won't get nothing as long as they have shrecks. They are supposed to be your core inf until you get call-in infantry or obers, then their role changes to meatshields and AT, they are not supposed to be effective AI unit, but a better scaling conscript, which they currently are. Difference in penetration means nothing, because IS-2 is the only allied tank that can deflect tiger shots and IS-2 have much more targets it can bounce off. Additionally, comparing units against one another is not an accurate comparison-both IS-2 and tiger perform well against what they are supposed to fight. Tiger ace was a joke since day 1.
