I wonder if 222 spam will be the bane of USF and possibly T1 Soviets, but then again, Captain and his cheapened cost hardcounters the cars and even with the upgun, the 222 isn't that particularly good vs infantry at range.
Just going to drop the stats for the OKW sandbags and Conscript sandbags
Conscripts Sandbags:
500 health
80 second build time (divide by six for 13.333333 seconds to build when all conscripts are working on it)
Target Size of 1
10 armour when constructed
OKW/USF Sandbags
110 health
35 armour when consctructed (I know that's weird)
60 second built time (12 seconds for a full Volk squad)
Target size of 1
Both offer heavy/green cover for that nice 0.5 received accuracy and received damage and have a maximum number of 8 for the engineers that can work on them during construction.
This means conscript sandbags are more likely to take damage from small-arms, but have a lot more health making them able to actually take shots from stray AT rounds without breaking and are build just as quickly. They also allow you to spread out more behind them as they have a larger model, though it also makes them more difficult to place unlike the single segement of OKW sandbags. OKW sandbags are built slightly faster but will also break much more easily to anything that isn't small-arms due to their low health.
Nope, it's just going back to the days of Beta where you now unlock units from the structure when you have the commander locked in, though this time nothing gets replaced.
Besides, 34-76s are now dirt cheap in fuel. At least that allows a cheap meatshield to be in front of all those early SU-76s and SU-85s that will accompany it into battle thanks to the fuel being avaiable to purchase it supporting units.
I never comfortably float 480 MP as the USF though.
Hence why it's main issue is price and its bugged reinforce. Bring it down to something more reasonable and it'd be easier to bring onto the field despite USF's heavy MP bleed and maybe boost the barrage ability in the number of shells to increase the time it can pressure an area.
Pack howitzers are simply overpriced and bugged with its reinforce. If you're using it like a mortar, of course it's a bad unit because it functions much differently. Barrage could maybe use more shells, but that's about it for its stats. I've blasted apart tons of infantry with this thing and kept it alive until it gets either stuka rocketed because the OKW player has had enough or a random shell wipes the crew because this thing has a very crappy formation when it even goes near cover for some awful reason.
.50cals suffers because Ostheer has Vet 2 rifle nades, but they do very well against OKW infantry so as long as you can suppress the Obers/screen the crew before the gunner gets sniped.
And then people will complain that the mortar sucks MVGame
Won't be much different from the original VCoh 60mm then. That thing was only ever good as a smoke platform and its Wehr counterpart fired laser-guided rounds to counter it
Will I break NDA if I say the Brits have the best voice work Relic have done to date?
If only they went the extra mile with DoW just to re-record lines for the older factions and their responses. I'm pretty sure they're just grabbing the same voice actors all the time as the Panzerfusilers are the same as the Panzergrenadiers
Just on the grenade, while obviously that number's not a multiple, but I'm pretty sure that's to tie the grenade with the long throwing animation USF has. I've edited those sort of numbers in the editor and it can led to desyncing of the firing and animation. Giving something like the Panther wind-up will cause the main gun to fire before the projectile actually spawns in a few miliseconds after which looks strange.
My micro was hardly on point, but hey, more M4Cs and SU-76s into the meatgrinder! Glad this strategy is back thanks to the patch which makes the SU-76s very potent versus armour, even though all mine exploded horribly
Also, right-side of Anglo appears to be way too important given its two VIPs though it's hell to fight on due to the hedges, walls and buildings.
