Since its so easily countered...will never ever make Vet 5 in any reasonable game and doesnt perform as well as a T70 why doesnt it come sooner? I guess its a topic of another thread but I didnt appreciate it getting clowned so hard by a light vehicle. A 222 doesnt kill a T70 as fast as that combo killed the Luchs. In the alpha it didn't come from the T4 building, but the T2 building used to be the Flak gun truck, and the T4 building had resource conversion. T4 used to be Obsersoldaten, Tiger B, Sturmtiger. Thread: Use of Para Callins: FJ's, Pathfinders, and US Paratroops29 Jun 2014, 01:21 AM My first USA 2v2 with my teammate we faced down double OKW who both went Luftwaffe and spammed Falschirmjaeger squads. They also made (seemingly) frequent use of the airborne assault ability, which results in dropping a paratrooper squad. I was stunned by how many they managed to field in a 30-40 minute game. We kept wiping them out (because the players weren't so good) and they kept producing more. Even got a couple of panthers out too! Paratroopers are cheap to reinforce, but expensive to build initially. Which is an odd combination but I'm not complaining I guess. Thompsons are pretty good although not utterly spectacular. I haven't tried them with the LMG upgrade yet. Pathfinders are expensive to reinforce and pretty rubbish in a stand up fight - or rather they don't scale into the late game well. Maybe I'll experiment with upgrading them with BARs or something. In: COH2 Gameplay
Thread: U 'BLOB' SA28 Jun 2014, 01:49 AM Sure, nerf the browning or something, but only if that's a package deal with nerfing the DPS on FG42s and Obsersoldaten MGs. Overwhelming infantry firepower seems to be the only way to make them scale effectively throughout the game. And really, if the person you're facing down has put exorbitant amounts of munitions into LMG browning upgrades, you should be trying for non-infantry counters to that anyway. Rifle AT nades are terrible, the US AT gun is mediocre, and Bazookas are pretty poor even against medium armor. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: As double US27 Jun 2014, 23:14 PM The howitzer is extremely underwhelming, when it lands hits it rarely kills more than one guy and quite often it lands close to enemies but barely damages them at all. Considering its cost and the inability to retreat, I think it's one of the least useful units in USA's arsenal currently. It was totally unable to deal meaningful damage to grenadier blobs even when it landed hits last night. In: Strategy Desk

OKW does its usual thing, but then when it gets supported by Wehr MGs and grens it seems to become exceptionally difficult to face. Same goes for most of these things except Crush, which is obviously not working as intended. Can someone tell me how the OKW economy works now? Thread: War spoils unlocks25 Jun 2014, 05:50 AM I have no idea but I'm guessing that commanders will still be purchasable to "guarantee" that you get them rather than relying on the RNG. In the alpha the drops were timed, i.e. you would unlock the new commander for a couple of hours or something. I'm hoping they've eliminated that, at least (haven't been able to try a proper game yet since launch). In: COH2 Gameplay
