OKW MP float only exists if you choose not spend it
In larger games OKW is fine, hell, OKW is OP in larger games. All you need is a decent team so you can REK anyone. In 1s it's very different. In 2s it's a bit better.

That's the problem, OKW is hard to play in 1s, but better in 2s and OP in 3s and 4s.
My major problem with OKW is lack of medium armor. |

When you complain about getting pounded by allied artillery as OKW, don't forget, nobody forced you to build your damn buildings outside of your base.

Not really.I'm not a SC player but from what I've seen, you can say that there is no RNG in SC (Or was you post sarcastic?).
A bit Off-topic but RNG should be on things like small arms (accuracy and stuff) and armor penetration (and stuff), not on explosive weapons. Just tone down all Nukes (Demos, 120, stuka, Sturmpanzer, greandes etc). Or, make them like WP barrage, so they can't kill but they reduce the HP to 1. |
negative is a red shield/dot and i assume open is the grey dot (not standing in any cover).
i have seen cons take out a model on the first volley before, once.
I've seen it a lot, and it's totally RNG based, they just focus fire on a model by chance and actually hit in the name of Comrade Stalin.

But seriously, first of all I would remove RNG flamethrower explosion for every goddamn Flamer, just like Penals. Then:
-I think FlameRifles are fine, maybe increase command points a bit. But overall they are fine since axis generally have better Long Range DPS, so bleed like hell when closing in. Although they are far better platforms than CEs and Pios.
-Double LMG rifles are problematic, and your descriptions says it all. Either add a cooldown (15 seconds?) or make them pay for suppression. Right now they just suppress high value targets (Sturmpios, Obers, Pzgrens or LMG grens) and perform like a mobile HMG on demand.
-Vet rifles are also fine IMO. Although you pay only slightly more MP, you can't spam them from the beginning like you could in a couple of patches ago. The commander in general is very good though.
PS: Elite troops costs fuel because you can vet up any unit, not just core infantry. Just vet up your mortar or HMG early game and just watch them shred every thing (1s and 2s). It's OP in large games. Totally OP.

Why not? Having a short-mid range assault unit available wouldn't be a bad idea as an extra choice.
Let's say I have 3 volks all with KAR-98s holding the line + 1-2 SMG volks for flanking/defending. A raketen and Sturm with double shreck can hold off armor.
I saw it way too many times that an allied squad ran up to a volk and sent it running home as they can't do shit at short range.
AI upgrade for volks would allow OKW to have a better chance on CQC maps and rely less on obers, which get insta-wiped many occasions.
The concept is totally fine, but MP40s just suck, big time. I'm with Dane on this, but I don't think we see something like that in the future. Simply 3 Pzgren StG44s might do well I think. |
