How can we possibly win against people with 1000+ hours of experience? Even if they are "bad", having this huge experience advantage is good enough for us to get wrecked. How can we get better by being constantly stomped? The learning curve for this game is a bit tricky. Small but devoted player base, change in meta, cheese tactics etc. Watch streams (Luvnest, HelpingHans,VonIvan etc) and watch live games and take notes (when to tech up, how to face your weapon teams etc.) In: COH2 Gameplay

Thread: Some thoughts on Sep 17th patch.16 Sep 2015, 21:12 PM I have a huge problem dealing with Brits in 2s. Might be L2P issue but they excel at supporting their teammate, either another Brit or SU/USF. The synergy is great. The same thing can be said about OKW in larger games (3s and 4s). But in 2s, it's easy for Brit player to play passive until they can build a bofors supported by a mortar and then stall for multiple Churchills. In 1s, they struggle (haven't played but watched high ranked games). In 2s though, they hit very hard. The problem might also be map design (this argument never gets old). The maps are mostly too small so a mortar pit and a Bofors need a lot of co-ordination and resources to deal with. On the other hand, if you counter them fast the game is pretty much over. Brits must be "normalized". Buff their early game and nerf late game. Emplacements are gonna be useless in the next patch though. In: COH2 Balance

Problem with emplacements is not that how op brace are, but their bad design. Emplacements suffer so horribly even against stock 240mp mortars shelling thats only brace can save them. And even with brace it is impossible to repair them until Brit player forces mortars to retreat thanks to bonus damage applied to repairing units. At the same time brace is just exception of imbalance against heavy weaponry. Stuka 300mm rockets? Use brace and take less damage than from a mortar shell. Railway arty 800mm shells? Feels like gentle summer rain. Thats just complete failure both in terms of realism and game design. Emplacements should be very survivable against small caliber indirect fire like mortars, isgs and mortarHTcs. In exchange for that they should take colossal, but not lethal damage form heavy bomibing, normal artillery, tanks, shrecks and even atguns. This way they dont need brace in the first place. +1. Time to make good use of target tables. Make them resist light and medium arty (even without brace) but make them vulnerable to heavy arty, flame, bundle nades and other infantry AT/flame weapons (even when braced). In: COH2 Balance
Thread: OCF games start just 2-3 days after the new patch16 Sep 2015, 10:09 AM I'm not in the tournament so don't take my opinion seriously, but I think it's good. If some people don't have enough time to play the game in 2-3 days prior to the beginning and practice for the tournament, chances are they are not going up the ladder. So... On the other hand, we will have the chance to see some new strats in OCF because the meta is going to change, specially for USF. In: Lobby
