Ill test that dpfarce.

The guide has been updated to be more clear regarding the fact that it may have a chance(albeit low) to not crit at all, even in a cluster.
my apologies if you lost a game because that wasnt clearly written. Couldnt find solid info on the mines anywhere when I was writing the guide, but a good rule of thumb is to never rely on these mines to do much. |
How do you deal with M8A1 and Priest as OKW? When these are well microed, they brutalize me. Pak43 can deal with the former but I'm absolutely clueless on what to do with the latter. It seems all I can do is to parry the damage, hope that nothing else is attacking me and that a lucky shell won't fall on my Sturmpioneers repairing whatever HQ it is.
And a follow up question: How do you use them effectively? I rarely play Infantry Company and I can't recall a single instance where a Priest was particularly impressive under my command. I know about putting other units in for creeping barrage and leaving the thing when not firing it, but how do I get the best out of it?
Same for M8A1, when I use it it blows up really easily.
Just like any other long range arty you cannot counter a priest as OKW without a deep Panther or Puma flank
The M8a1 is hard countered by a jagdpanzer,or pak40 in most cases/
When you use artillery make sure you get as close as safely possible in order to maximize accuracy and damage and, after using barrages, shift click the unit to reverse away so you dont forget about it and get it killed. |
Does guards anti armor rifle upgrade affects ptrs of conscripts? It is logical because they use the same weapon. Thank you.
I mean pre game little upgrade with 3 slots
The bulletin? No,not unless the bulletin says "PTRS rifles have +20 penetration"
If its like "Guard rifles have 4% more accuracy" then it only affects guards.
Copy and paste the actual dialogue from the bulletin if that doesnt make sense |
Thanks CookiezNcreem. I appreciate the truth.
So grenadier while equipped with STG44s are not a good choice against infantry ?
I do realize I was overwhelmed by the Stuart and was mentally freaking out about it.
Again thanks for the help.
They are good but don't buy them when there's a Stuart running around, and you still have no AT gun. Again, think about the big picture |
i did plant 3 mines in a cluster in one of the previous match, it just scratch the luchz while it mow down my retreating infantry.
if sarantini say it was true, then cookiencreem need to update his guide
I never said it was absolutely certain you'd get a crit, I only said your chances of getting one would increase per mine placed up to 3. From there you won't help your chances of getting anymore crits, but you'll still do more damage. The mines CAN do crew stun, light and heavy engine damage, and immobilization. They can also do nothing.
but you're right it isn't clear that you won't always get a crit..but to be fair I also said not to get to excited about the mines |
They're bugged and are best used against light vehicles essentially. They are "light" mines. You either place enough to blow something off the map with no crits(10-20 mines in a trail,) or place 3 and hope for some crits for only 15 muni on mainline infantry. |
translation... They don't always do crits, even in clusters, if RNG does not like you |
Wrong forum
And elaborate. Dealing with Ost as what faction? On what map? what commander are you facing? |
I think it's cool trying to kill falls that are cloaking on retreat. It represents how hard they are to see because of how skilled they are with not exposing too much of their silhouette |
Cap order and priorities was god awful the entire game,im sorry but to get better you have to hear the god honest truth. Its EXTREMELY important that you cap and choose fights properly. Or itll be the same story every game.
. Why would you focus most of your men away from the most important resources? Focus your men near 1 Vp(middle one on this map),1 Muni,1 fuel, and the fuel cutoff, and then harass the closest VP from there so you dont get capped 2-1. Just from your cap order you screw yourself immediately. No reason to go to that side of the map to start with all your most important squads. absoulutely none. ALWAYS focus most of your squads towards your fuel until you do enough damage to focus away. Basically flip what you did this game. Send the pios south, send the grens and MG to defend and capture fuel and munitions.
Otherwise you'll just be outnumbered and out gunned. Like you were.
You basically got forced to retreat 4-5 times in the first 3 minutes...your MG42 arrvies late.....lost hundreds in manpower over a basic territory point in the middle of nowhere that wasnt even connected.
and still had only one fuel point and ur cutoff, which are now WIDE open to attack.
The map is literally a cutoff rainbow during the mid game. Hunker down around your fuel, again, cant stress that enough
221(not even 222) against a stuart?
??
This guy has also lost a ton of infantry but still the map is a flashing rainbow.
No ATG,just moar moar moar infantry and stuff you dont need. why get Pgrenss when theres a stuart out 10 mins into the game?
Calm down, and thinkabout your decisions, that is the key to ostheer against USF.
Another 221,(not 222),but this time 14 min into the game...
IF you cant afford a logically timed vehicle then dont buy any vehicle... Dont be like the AI. a halftrack wouldve done more than an unupgraded scout car. Calm down. Think about it before you do it. You have both taken HUGE losses at this point too,and despite all of this flopping youve done the game is still winnable for you, partly because USF is just throwing squads away by not paying attention.
that engagement at 19;00,Pgrens with shreks+Pak forced off that easy 8 around your base.
Thats how ostheer functions properly. COMBINED ARMS. at a strategic locations, and you can force off frontal assaults easily. Fighting over low value territory only plays in allied hands.. The tradeoff is you may be behind in victory points. and maybe fuel. but you have better AT Guns,Equipment, and COMBINED ARMS. USE your tools! |
