Buffing anti-blob units will make them primarily overpowered vs single unit they're mean to counter aka one shot ability many anti-blob already have. ISG and USF howi buff is quite interesting but it also works too well vs 1 single squad, buffing it too much would make people building 2 or 3 them and sit on their defense.

And people who never heard about tactical blob never played the game... Moving 3+ squads in a small radius isn't something rare, any Ostheer player does it when he Attack move with 2 paks + 1 or 2 potential support unit. Don't tell me no, I have ready it again today from good players here as a strategy to counter IS2. And the same goes for any faction in many situations.

I think people have a really poor definition of what a blob is in term of game mechanism and only think about the most obvious examples, which is simply wrong. You cannot put a buff or debuff to game mechanism and expect it to impact one situation over 10-20 existant.

Removing Attack move is probably the best measure, simple and easy to put in place, I have read so far to counter the particular way of blobbing people want to get rid off without impacting too much the rest of the gameplay.

Read what I suggested again. Nerf the damage SO IT WONT punish individual squads and INCREASE ITS AOE to DAMAGE (not kill outright) large amounts of units so that the smaller force that is used tactically will be fighting a bunch of half health squads. This would naturally discourage grouping up a large amount of units.

That is in the past. At this moment okw really struggles in infantry battles. im really interested to see their win/loss ratio in 1vs1 now.

I would be interested as well. And they are still floating MP in almost every game I play against them. To the point of being able to replace entire blobs I have Demod. The only people that seem to suffer are folks that contantly Spam Falls and lose squads left right and center.

Want to fix the float? Easy, create more MP dumps through Opal trucks or increase the price of Volks while increasing their performance. Making things cost more is fine as long as you make sure to adjust the units performance to match the cost.

Your also overestimating how much pop cap influences float, OKW floats because it has nothing to spend MP on but more infantry, not because it has to much income or not enough things taking up population cap. Soviet infantry is just as cheap and plentiful as OKW infantry, but your not floating MP because you have access to vehicles.

Reinforce and Pop cap affect Float DRASTICALLY. And your underestimating power of units and force concentration. When 1 unit costs double of another and does double the DPS of the other it is exponentially superior due to force concentration and availability of cover.

Example if I am used and have a 50 Pop cap with vehicles and infantry I am bleeding 100 MP a min.

OKW with the same relative power but 75MP a min drain due to no vehicles and just infantry carrying all sorts of counters like Shreks and High AI DPS can easily run into the opposing force and instantly start inflicing casulties in a smaller area and instantly retreat before they take any themselves if they sense it wont be a steam roll.

Having super high DPS infantry you can Alpha strike and retreat for no loss to your own MP but a loss to the opponents.

AI/AT power to unit effciency is NON LINEAR. But its currently treated in a Linear fashion.

MG34. Because its cheap and effective and targets quickly like all other MGs that arent M2HB or DSHK. The DSHK has been around for a LONG TIME and everybody knows the DSHK sucks. Its almost never picked over the Maxim...because...it sucks. Its meant to do OK against light vehicles and help in the suppression job but not be a traditional MG.

The DSHK is better in almost EVERYWAY then the M2HB. There for if the DSHK sucks then the M2HB.....

It suffers the same problem of the Rakentenwerfer pre Buff. Remember when people would say

"Well its good good DPS and Good Pen I dont know what your problem IS! If you use it when the moon is in orbit mid solstice it WORKS GREAT!"

This is the M2HBs situation right now. It has crappy targetting stats. It makes it a very sluggish MG. Sluggish when you put it in buildings sluggish when your targetting another squad in its arc. It essentially has a built in 1 second input lag. Sure if its already setup pointing in the right direction and something moseys on in to its arc it will be OK. But thats not what happens more often then not in games.

Its too expensive comes too late and is too mediocre for what it DOES have going for it. What it does have going for it is only "It has the ability to suppress". Thats like saying having a totally crappy AT gun is ok because its an AT Gun.
