This works. Also dont forget for mother russia. So you can bait armor to your zis guns with the kv1 then use fmr which is like having mark target on everything and it stacks with oorah making scripts run like a blitzing panther lol. This +1 if your floating muni as the soviets your not doing it right. Assgrens get stomped on by Penals. Shocks arent required. You can also flank bunkers with m3s and demo them quickly or flamer them ever so slowly. Shocks would be fine at 2CP. With proper micro you can do the same thing cheaper with zombie penals. Zombie penals get vet 2 really fast and the merging scripts can protect the penals with at nades. Captainsprice did real well with penals to shocks pre patch anyway... In: COH2 Balance

Yes do pair them with a sniper and they can counter either a single 240 mp 60 muni lmg gren or a 360 mp ai pgren with perhaps a vanilla gren 240 mp thrown in there. So thats 720 mp and 60 muni to counter either 480 mp 60 muni or 600 MP As i said above the econmoics arent there they severly underperform for coooost. In: COH2 Gameplay
Thread: Pricing Balance29 Dec 2013, 20:00 PM My observations seem to indicate certain stats have a weighted cost. It appears that anti infantry abilitiy is wieghted very high on thid list. Which is why an ostwind costs the same as a p4 and an is2 more than a tiger even thouhh the tiger has more hps and at. But this only seems to apply to armor or pgrens would cost more than penals and guards. On infantry i believe relic likes to increase the cost relative to the timing. I.e. Penals cost the same as AI pgrens because they come out sooner. In: COH2 Balance

Can you even see your hand in front of your face when you are surronded by all that bias? Again button is far to expensive to be the only thing a 360 mp unit can bring to the table. If this wss their point they should have targer weakpoint nit button. Something that cannot be interupted. Or they need a buff somewhere else or a price decrease. Guards are in a price catrgory of elite infantry but in most cases arent as useful as conscripts. 360MP large vet requirement due to cost 100 muni and a high reinforce i would expect much more than a gimped vet 1 german ability.... Button is too easy to cancel for its cost. Its not anymore useless than an SU76 but like an SU76 its not good for cooooosssstttt. Anymore discussiin on the overpriced guards please see that topic. Target weakpoint cannot be interupted and doesnt imobilize the user. If you cant get to vet 1 stop playing the game.... Partisans have randomly a single shrek. With mark target its at dps is 50% less than Pgrens. Camod at guns funny the damage boost is on the first shot only and there is no hold fire. So again with mark target zis dps is that of a vanilla pak. Do you even look at wooofs spreadsheet? Again out of the box germans always will have at the very least equal at soviet doctrine dependant and in most cased 50% more at dps then soviets. In: COH2 Balance

For 360 mp and the upkeep/reinforcement/enemy xp value they just arent worth it. Think about it. Since ptrs are the last models to drop they literally work just like vanilla grens for ai. Then to add insult to injury you need to spend 100 muni for the first button that is far far to easy to cancel. Then even at full duration with soviet at guns rof thats maybe 1 exrra hit in for 100 muni. If guards were either cheaper to use ie reinforce/muni for upgrades button was more reliable or they had the exact same impact as the lmg42 they might be good. Now they are a very very expensive and highly situational support unit. I would even prefer ptrs as a paid upgrade so they at least gun down lmg grens ffs. In: COH2 Gameplay
Thread: Guard29 Dec 2013, 17:05 PM Guards are a discrace. A total and complete manpower sink. What your basically paying for is a vanilla gren squad that can cause light vehicle damage foe no muni cost. People like to sau how survivable they are. If they actually coukd di something to infantry with that survivability tjat would be nice. But ptrs do nothing to infantry so count them as mirrors to 4 man gren squads that have a more expensive reinforce. The only way to kill infantry effectivly is to purchase their rng deaths by paying 45 muni. The only time i am like wow glad i have guards is if there is a flame ht. Button is a slap in the face for cost. 9/10 times it is not up for the full duration because the idiot entity buttoning moves on his own or is forced to move or loses los or the vehicle moves out of range etc etc. The lmg itself in practice does very little dps again because of the constant moving of 6 man squads. Personally i am more satisfied with conscripts penals and shocks for cost. Guards only real roll seems to be feeding pgrens and lmg grens vet and causing the soviet player to bleed manpower. Thread: Germans are bad29 Dec 2013, 05:15 AM Button is a joke. A very situational and far too easily countered painfully expensive gimmick attached to a 360 mp vanilla gren unit. It costs 100 muni to use the first time can be cancelled by driving towards the guards forcing them to move throwing a bundle nade or getting pgrens anywhere near guards popping smoke or deiving out of range. Its the discraceful expensive benefit to having a unit that is really only good against a flameht but is otherwise overshadowed by penals for ai at nades for at or any doctrine containing shocks. Target weakpoint is better in every concievable scenerio and is attached to much more useful at options. Mark target is powerful indeed. So is the combo with t34/85s. However it is doctrine exclusive in the combo you are talking about is the premier soviet at doctrine similar to jaeger armor. Further to add to this if your using guards and actually want to kill infantry you will be tossing 45 muni nades left and right so muni on guards motor is nit floating terribly high unless of course you skip using guards themselves. Along those lines its like arguing germans have the best ai thanks to ambush camo and g43s..... In: COH2 Balance

Shreks arent meant to solo tanks but to do burst dps. Fire and move. T34 gives chase then faust him. Paks have one of the highest at dps in the entire game and at vet 1 they can button. They arent good they are par exellence. 340 mp do you expect an elephant? This is why a zis has more men. It needs ti stay on the field in harms way much longer for the same gain. Paks are just plain boss. If you cant kick armored ass with those i dont know what to tell you...you probably wouldnt care for shocks either...m In: COH2 Balance
