So are Storm and Joint Ops the only 2 docs with LeFH now?
Why on earth was that targetted to be removed from a faction with 20+ docs. |
As a QoL Buff, units tend to get stuck on the USF base sector on retreat and run back and forth near the buildings.
Can we enlarge the 'base sector' zone so that retreats stop outside the base instead of having to watch your units run at the building for 10s? |
All the fast cap abilities need a rethink.
As is, they are extremely underwhelming for a doctrinal point, being lucky to see use even once a game.
I think you could outright remove the munitions cost from them (excluding combat buffs) and balance them entirely around cooldowns.
Alternatively, Combat buffs need to be added/improved to make them more attractive options. |
Underwhelming changes for USF.
240mm Barrage needs more. This thing is in the same price range as Assault Artillery and Perimeter Overwatch. The shells arrive incredibly slowly and the damage does not match the explosion. I'd rather see it replaced with either just the old Mechanized 155mm Barrage or turned into a Tank Commander like Panzer Elite, (give it the barrage and mark target abilities on the WC51) which would match more with the theme of the doctrine.
Rifle Company needs more. Give it something to make it other than 'The E8 Doc'. A sprint alone is not worth a doctrinal point, (see Ambush Camo) and the Flamethrower feels like a trap upgrade. The WP Barrage doesn't leave smoke behind like every other WP ability, undermining its intended function of displacing weapon teams and then blinding them while you advance.
I'd really like to see the 105 Sherman be taken off the call in list and made 130 fuel. Its no Brummbar, no matter how many bells and whistles you put on it. Its cost should reflect its capabilities compared to a Dozer Sherman.
At this point it makes more sense to go after the lethality of the Calliope rather than its health.
Can someone explain why the Greyhound is still CP4? Its similarly lethal to a Luchs (lower armor, but faster and with better vision) yet arrives 3 minutes later.
P-47 Strikes are still more expensive and have a harder time tracking targets than the other loiters. |
Why on earth did the Mortar come out of Lend Lease? You should be shoving the Land Mattress and Mortar (or Resupply) in every doc you can.
If you want to give Lend/Lease an off-map, remove the vehicle repair.
Flamethrowers alone are not worth a doctrinal slot. Both Feursturm and Rifle Company have other things bundled in with them.
Raid Section feels like it should have been designed as a CP0 alternative way to play Brits.
Vickers design is a step in the right direction, but would really benefit from being available in more docs. |
Ost Puma is probably the trickiest one to sort out.
Its usually too late currently, but would be extremely strong if it was just tied to Ost T2. |
The Gren hate is just weird.
They are cheap as dirt, get access to all of their kit without side tech, and have super low vet requirements. I legit don't understand how anyone can complain about them after the T4 and formation buffs in the last 2 patches. |
The more I've played, the more I've grown to love the Major.
In 1v1 its another place to put a Bazooka or 1919, has shared vet so it hits that ever important vet 2 mark quickly, and gives you another capper. The recon is really important, and the arty barrage is actually pretty decent.
In team games, the forward retreat point is very good, as is the Recon. (especially if you get it to vet 2 first) |
The biggest thing I want to see them do is shove as much indirect as possible into the Brit docs. At this point the only explanation I can come up with for the current state of Brits is Relic refusing to let the balance team put indirect in the stock faction. So the remaining alternative is to put it into docs.
In this case, adding the land mattress and mortar/air resupply in 2 more docs each. Leaving only a select few (probably advanced emplacements and maybe commando) without a form of mobile indirect.
I think the vehicle auto repair is a good candidate to swap out for indirect, and many of the buffs and fast cap abilities are unimpressive and could be swapped out.
Outside of that, Flamethrowers alone aren't worth a full doctrinal point (see Feursturm and Rifle Company) and should get something else bundled with them. Command Vehicle feels really awkward to use. Its counter intuitive to put it on the least capable vehicle you can field and could use a rework.

So to recap, the correct way to use Counter Barrage is now to aim it perpendicular to the enemy position. Because it spends time rotating and tracks through the fog of war, the barrage won't start until it rotates enough to be able to fire at them, by which point their barrage would have finished and their retreat order would have been given. Counter Barrage will then attack them at where they retreated to since fog of war doesn't affect it..
Because of the delay before the counter barrage, the Allied team can never be sure if the LeFH is rotating or if counter barrage is even active, meaning the only way to truly protect your Arty is to never stop moving.
...And the balance team is fine with this. |
