Accuracy and penetration can be improved by microing your vehicle properly, and these things are in fact partly what separates good players from bad ones. There's no real counterplay to getting a main gun crit, so you're treated unfairly by the game regardless of how well you play. Besides, why would having accuracy rolls in the game somehow justify having main gun crits? We can't remove accuracy from the game, but we could plausibly remove main gun crits. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: It's time for Main Gun Crits to go12 Dec 2020, 10:32 AM A tank often gets a main gun crit when the player is committed to trading it for an enemy vehicle and only needs one more shot to finish the job. It's the most toxic RNG event in the game, much more so than random abandons, and I don't believe it makes the game better even for the most casual player. All RNG events like this should be able to be overcome with good micro, so if MGC were for example replaced with a "turret ring jammed" crit, you should be able to manually rotate the vehicle to get off your final shot. If you think Brits aren't competitive without the extra capture speed, then don't remove that extra capture speed in the first place. Right now Bolster instantly gives all of your squads 5-man whereas any other faction has to upgrade squads manually to be able to benefit from larger squad sizes. Make Bolster like 30-40 muni or something so it takes 150-160 muni to fully kit Tommies with Med Kits + Bolster + 2 Bren Guns. And Brits have to pay 150mp and 35f for the global upgrade, whereas any other faction doesn't. The Brit matchup against the Ostheer meta is already very shitty, so making it even worse seems like a fucking terrible idea. If OKW is too weak to deal with sections (or any other allied mainline) give them some help instead. In: COH2 Balance
