Why do people think its risky? I mean just pull it backwards into your base and nothing can touch it.
If you move it as far back as to your base, it might take like 3 minutes until it is back on the frontline to shoot once more. I think this huge gap between shots make it manageable. |
I really like the new ST. It is useful and powerful, finally. But playing against it, I do not really have had problems so far.
I wonder why so many people complain about it. I find it quite easy to evade the shot with tanks. It takes like 5 seconds or so to aim and shoot, just move man. With infantry, just retreat or spread your troops well enough.
Really, the aim to shoot time and 1 minute of risky reload make this unit not OP.
PS: Many of you already know, but to the others: Wait for the AVRE. Better armour, cheaper, auto-reload on the move and turret. Onehitting P4s just like the ST onehits T34 and Sherman tanks. |

lately I seem to have more and more problems when playing against mass rifles, like 3-4 squads. Counting the Lieutenant in, I'm dealing with 5 squads.
Volks are totally ineffective, Sturms are only useful when it comes to close quarters. Riflemen are generally viable against everything OKW has in the earlygame.
Kübel is somewhat an option, but not a reliable counter, as it cannot pin more squads, gets shot to hell quickly (with a little bit of bad luck, two volleys of two squads drain health to the point its main gun gets destroyed.)
Infantrygeschütz is absolutely no option, I still consider it as a bad mortar for almost the doubled costs.
Suggestions? I'm really looking for help here. |
This rather reads as a list of bugs.
And I really do not like the way cover handles damage instead of accuracy. Or Grenades thrown over cover being affected by cover. Stupid... |

I just wanted to report a bug with a replay, but as I wanted to review the replay myself before posting, i found out that there are no replays displayed in game. Is this a bug? Is it a feature? Am I missing something? |
vCoh with german voicepacks for Wehr and PE, English for US and UK = Super Awesome. Coh2 voice acting is decent, yeah, but 'decent' is much worse than the superb voice acting and lines of vcoh. One of CoHs greatest traits, now mediocre. |

I suppose this thread is the direct reason of someone not being able to WTFPWN sherman with engine damage.
I'd rather say that it's about getting some use out of your doctrinal 50 munitions AT mine, instead of it being negated entirely.

Crew repair is basically fine, just add a cooldown of 2-3 seconds.
I had a game yesterday (didn't save the replay) where a Sherman was moving on to my grens, I fisted and retreated. With my second gren squad that was en route to the frontline I wanted to catch the Sherman - because I felt that he would not have moved far until he hopped out. My assumption was correct, I saw the crew, hoping to kill two entities to punish him for disembarking in the middle of the battlefield, but he simple hopped in, sherman shot instantly, wiping the whole vet2 squad. Right. |
