Just last night I laid a mine about 1 minute into the game and a fresh full health Gren squad, that literally hadn't even been engaged yet (my combat engineers soft retreated), was instantly wiped. I really don't understand how this is acceptable. |
It does this in Win 7 also but its a bit buggy tabbing back, for me at least. Those team players who make the first building after 30 seconds, I dont want to be one of those.
Protip: if you press Alt+Enter and go into windowed mode, it still plays sound. That way you can HEAR when the game starts, and it has never bugged out on me when I switch to the COH2 window. Once in-game you can press Alt+Enter again to go fullscreen. |

I don't recall you setting the rules for this thread.
If the elephant is not OP but the ISU 152 is than comparison of the two is valid as the two are the most similar and the elephant sets a benchmark
none of this has to do with anyone's player card, how biased one is or isn't, showmatches or how many quote on quote "pro" (celebrity) players agree with someone this thread has to do with the ISU 152. |
What would be the point of mines if they weren't a threat? If mines didnt kill my squads, i wouldn't upgrade pios to get a minesweeper.
No one is saying mines shouldn't kill models. What we are saying is that reliably killing 3 models and sometimes killing 4 models is too much, especially for the cost. |

"I am starting to get sick from all the bias," says the guy with a grand total of ONE German 1v1 game to his name, and more than double the Soviet 2v2s played than anything else.
Deal with the arguments on the table or go away. This thread is not about the Elefant or anything other than the ISU. And don't complain about bias if you yourself have a clear bias. |

And I thought that basing armor effectiveness on their RL counterparts is what german players love and they were always supportive to base things on RL performance *looks at panther threads* what made you change your mind all of sudden?
Gee maybe because I'M NOT A "GERMAN" PLAYER, I play both factions and want this game to be balanced. |

The 152mm high-explosive shells were so powerful that many ISU-152 only used high-explosive rounds because they were they powerful enough to take out tanks. Armor piercing rounds for the ISU-152 were unnecessary.
Yes and T34s didn't really have little health bars that went down every time an AP round penetrated their armor. And you don't actually capture territory by sitting in a magic circle while a flag goes up. What is your point? |
Thread: ISU-15229 Apr 2014, 02:08 AM
The fact that the ISU can potentially be flanked and overwhelmed has no bearing on the fact that it is too strong against both infantry and armor for its extreme range. Squad wipes should be reduced across the board, but the ISU is simply game-breaking in its current state. |
I agree with the point here but I think it's broader than just mines. Squad wipes are just too prevalent all around. I remember back in beta when the mortar used to wipe squads all the time, and they nerfed it (overnerfed it at first), why not do the same here? |

What part of "Elefant sucks against infantry" do you not understand?
What part of "the Elefant is not the topic of this thread" do you not understand? |
